She burst out laughing to which he smiled. her smile was SO beautiful.

"And th-then?" Urmila managed to choke out between her giggles, as she and Lakshman walked through the gardens of Mithila. She had befriended this brother of her to- be- jiju, who turned out to be a very interesting guy.

"Then what, I and shatru pranked Bharat bhaiyya, and he was angry with us for four-" He stopped, increasing the suspense

"Four days?" She guessed

"FOUR HOURS!!!" and Lakshman burst out laughing with that

"He doesnt have the sheer ability to hold a grudge for more than few hours, our Bharat bhaiyya...." He said with a light smile, which indicated affection towards his brother.

Urmila smiled slightly. Lakshman was SO similar to herself, that she couldnt help but wondering if it was a mistake from the creator's side that he made them as two, not one?
She was So lost in Saumitra, that she unknowingly kept on staring at him. Lakshman's giggles halted as he noticed a stare at him. He looked at his left side, only to find the younger janaki staring at him with her beautiful doe shaped, blue hued eyes. As soon as she sensed his eyes on her, she shifted her gaze, desperately trying to hide her cheeks which were red by now.

Urmila lost herself to Ram's courageous younger brother during her Sister's swayamvar itself. The incident still played in her mind when Lakshman stood in front of lord parshuram without a tinge of fear in his eyes, just because of a few words Parshuram said to The son of Kaushalya.

"So what? It was just a bow, wasnt it?" Lakshman's voice rang in the swaymvar sabha.

Urmila lifted her head in order to see the owner of that voice, which she knew very well. Lakshman.

Parshuram blazed in Anger as he saw a random boy of merely 25 standing up against him, THE  Rishi parshuram

"Shut up, you Disobedient boy!! Dont interfere!!" Parshuram spat out angrily

"Well, So sorry Maharishi, but I NEED to interfere if you call my perfect brother with any name you like. You are a brahmin, but we are not. We are kshatriyas, we are Rajputras, for whom every bow is for same purpose. Instead, you must be happy, maharishi, because a bow always does the job of breaking. If its used in a war, it breaks so many heads from their bodies. But this bow has, for the first time, done a job of uniting two souls, uniting two kingdoms with a marital bond. I dont think its a reason to be angry!!" Lakshman said, to which the whole sabha sat stunned.

Urmila noted nothing. Her jiju might have came in between his brother and parshuram, he might have saved the day, she knew nothing. All she could think, understand or comprehend was Lakshman, that brave younger brother of her jiju who had absolutely no fear in his eyes while talking to Parshuram.

She submitted her heart to the valorous son of Sumitra the very moment.

Mera hai, ye tera hain
Ye lamha, main jee loon jara)

Lakshman glanced at the young woman beside him, who was now feeding the small birds with so much love visible in her eyes. oh, she has to be the best creation of god!!
The way her hands tenderly caressed the birds, the way her eyes widened in happy surprise when a bird gleefully cooed at her, the way her she gently kissed the small injured bird after bandaging it, he noticed it all.
For once, Lakshman was a bit jealous of the birds
