➹THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE➷

✾March 11th, 2013- 13:03: Sheffield✾

Lorenzo has been diligently working for nearly three hours, while Alistair chose to take the twins to the city. The twins have not been outdoors since their arrival, and Alistair believes that the potential risks are manageable.

He was presently driving along the bustling road with the twins securely fastened in their car seats in the backseat.

Alistair was gently tapping the steering wheel with his finger and observing his surroundings when he noticed a familiar face crossing the road while carrying several bags.

As the traffic signal transitioned to green, Alistair promptly accelerated his vehicle, continuing towards his intended destination rather than seeking an unoccupied parking space for the purpose of discreetly observing the familiar face.

Arriving at the shopping centre in less than thirty minutes and promptly locating a vacant parking space, Alistair proceeded to assemble the pram and gently placed the twins within it without encountering any significant difficulties.

He gently pushed the pram forward, entering the shopping centre and proceeding towards the children's store. The twins were in need of some more clothes, but as he ventured further into the centre, his name was called out from behind.

Alistair turned around and noticed his cousin, Cordelia, running towards him with several bags in her hands. Her face was adorned with the most radiant and joyous smile he had ever witnessed.

"I hope you are doing well. By the way, are those your daughters? They are adorable. If it's not too personal, may I ask why you didn't mention having a partner and children before?" She politely asked while speaking in a gentle and soothing tone to the twins in the pram.

"I am still single, Lia, and the babies in question are not my biological children. They are, in fact, Lorenzo's." Despite not having the pleasure of meeting Lorenzo personally, Cordelia regarded her cousin with a knowing smile, as the stories she had heard from Meredith and Aodhán were more than sufficient also Cordelia suspected her cousin may be harboring romantic feelings for him.

"Oh, yes, I had forgotten that Meredith was expecting." Alistair swiftly turned his head in the direction of his cousin, a look of mild frustration on his face. If Cordelia was aware of Meredith's pregnancy with Lorenzo's children, why had she not mentioned it? Unless, of course, someone had instructed her not to, but why would that be the case?

"Excuse me, but you aware of her pregnancy and chose not to inform Lorenzo about it, nor did you convince Meredith to tell him herself?" Cordelia visibly swallowed hard, but rather than speaking, she simply lowered her head in a display of dejection.

"Meredith composed a letter addressed to Lorenzo and discreetly attached it to one of the bassinets on the day she made the difficult decision to leave them at his doorstep. May I enquire if Lorenzo neglected to mention the existence of this letter to you?" Alistair responded with a sigh and a gentle shake of his head, indicating that Lorenzo had not shared any information regarding the letter Meredith had sent him.

"It is not my concern, and Lorenzo is unaware of my closeness with Meredith and her brother, Aodhán. I shall inform him when the appropriate time arises, and that time is not now." Cordelia expressed her disapproval of her cousin's choice of words through an eye roll. This is because Alistair has a consistent pattern of failing to deliver on his promises to share important information. It is unclear whether this is due to forgetfulness or a deliberate decision not to disclose the information.

"Well, it was a pleasure speaking with you, but I must take my leave now as Raphael is expecting me at our preferred café. Farewell." She gracefully turned and proceeded towards the escalator, as that is where the café is located, and Raphael will hopefully be waiting for her there.

Alistair let out another sigh and continued pushing the pram. He decided to shorten his visit to the shopping centre as his mood had taken a downturn due to his cousin and the mention of her boyfriend, Raphael. He held no fondness for Raphael and doubted that would ever change, but that was a matter for another time.
