Giovanni and his father parted ways four hours ago after Giovanni opened up and decided to reveal the reason for his split with Alistair. He expressed his deep desire to reconcile and make amends, emphasising that he would do anything to win Alistair back.

Regrettably, that possibility is unlikely to materialize as the individual he holds dear is already committed in marriage to another person and, to his understanding, reciprocates those feelings for their spouse.

Giovanni and his former partner Alistair have a condition called false memory syndrome, which essentially means that their memories have been altered and their recollections are not accurate representations of the truth.

The only memories that hold true accuracy are those that occurred during the period of their romantic relationship, excluding the time before they became lovers.

It has been approximately eighteen years since June 27th, 1999, when they officially ended their romantic relationship and are no longer lovers. Unfortunately, they are not even friends at this time.

Raphael is the intellectual force behind all that transpired from June 1999 until the incident in Birmingham in 2007.

The event that occurred was his intention, and one day, Giovanni was overcome with emotion as he reminisced over old photographs of himself and Alistair.

The photographs were taken while they were still in a relationship, as evidenced by the date and location mentioned on the back of each one.

In addition, for some reason, the photographs of Giovanni and Alistair before they became partners appear to be missing.

A week prior to the unfortunate event that occurred in Birmingham, Giovanni was in a state of profound sadness and was contemplating various approaches to mend his relationship with Alistair, yet he found himself unable to identify a suitable course of action.

Despite the passage of time and their separation, his feelings for Alistair remain strong. Upon learning that his ex-boyfriend was now in a relationship with his cousin, Lorenzo, Giovanni experienced intense anger and frustration.

That day, Raphael happened to visit him and enquired about the reason behind his tears. Giovanni responded by sharing every detail of the matter with utmost honesty and transparency.

At that moment, the ingenious plan devised by Raphael came into effect. He respectfully shared with Giovanni all the information he possessed regarding the medication Benzodiazepines and its potential to induce memory loss, both short-term and long-term.

Although Giovanni was having difficulty comprehending Raphael's explanation, he maintained his respectful attention.

And, that's when Raphael informed him that if he used Benzodiazepines on Alistair he could persuade him that they were still in a relationship and he would have no memory of ever ending his relationship with Giovanni in the first place.

Alistair did not partake in the meal that Giovanni had prepared that day, as he had a sense of suspicion regarding it.

He also observed that Raphael was not partaking in the meal, which further heightened his suspicions about the food.

Additionally, when his second boyfriend, Lorenzo, was diagnosed with long-term memory loss, he was determined to assist him in recovering his memories. However, for some reason, whenever he attempted to approach Lorenzo, a security guard would promptly escort him away. It was Giovanni's security guard.

It was only then that Alistair discovered Giovanni had filed a restraining order against him that remained in effect for several years.

He politely requests the truth, but unfortunately, no one seems willing to share any information with him. Despite this, he remains composed and patient, confident that the truth will eventually come to light.

The timing, location, and source of the disclosure are the only factors that matter.
