➹THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE➷

✾April 16th, 2013- 02:44 Bradford✾

Alistair politely informed his husband of his decision to drive them both to Bradford before Lorenzo's work obligations resumed the following day.

Lorenzo was delighted to hear that, and it would be an opportunity to leave Sheffield, even if it was only to a nearby location.

"I have made a reservation at the Hollins Hall Hotel, which is a golf and country club. I am looking forward to the many enjoyable activities that will be available to us during our stay." Lorenzo flashed a radiant smile as he gently placed his head on the headrest of the seat.

They were approximately fifteen minutes away from the hotel when Lorenzo's phone began to ring. He courteously retrieved his phone from his trousers and examined the caller identification. It was his mother.

"Hello, mother." Lorenzo said politely, and she broke down in tears, which confused him.

"What's the matter?" His mother gently sniffled before responding to her son.

"I recently returned from Finland and visited your penthouse, only to discover that you were not present. This caused me to experience a moment of anxiety, as I considered the possibility of negative outcomes. Fortunately, my fears proved to be unfounded." Lorenzo chuckled at his mother's concern. She has a tendency to be overly protective, and when he fails to respond promptly to her calls or texts or does not answer the door when she visits, she often assumes the worst-case scenario.

"I am doing well, by the way, and I am currently in Bradford with Alistair. He kindly took me away for some time alone, as I will be returning to work tomorrow and likely won't have much free time for a while." Mrs. Guerriero chuckled in a playful manner when she heard that Alistair and Lorenzo were spending time together, possibly staying at a hotel.

"If you prefer, you don't have to return to work tomorrow. In fact, you can continue working next week instead and spend a few days alone with Alistair. Since you work for me, I am permitted to grant you permission. Additionally, I am your mother, after all." Lorenzo expressed his gratitude to his mother for kindly extending his days off.

It is important to note that Mrs. Guerriero is a highly esteemed individual who holds great respect for all her employees. While it is natural for her to have certain preferences, she treats everyone with fairness and kindness.

She ensures that her employees do not become overworked and provides them with time off when necessary. For instance, if an employee requires a break due to fatigue, mental health concerns, or illness, she grants them the necessary time to recover, and they continue to receive payment during their absence, as this is the ethical and responsible course of action.

"Could you please tell me the reason behind your expression of gratitude towards your mother?" Lorenzo turned off his phone and placed it back in his trouser pocket as he looked at his husband sitting next to him.

"She kindly extended my days off until next week, suggesting that we should spend a few more days together." Alistair couldn't help but smile as he gazed ahead and noticed the hotel where they would be residing for the next few days.

It is anticipated that the upcoming days will be exceptionally enjoyable until Lorenzo resumes his work commitments. Simultaneously, Alistair has kindly consented to work from home for a lengthy period.

Although their life may have returned to normalcy after several years, it is important to remember that happiness is often fleeting.
