➹THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE➷

✾March 18th, 2013- 17:30: Sheffield✾

Lorenzo and Giovanni have arrived at the police station to provide them with evidence concerning Cassius.

"Could you please kindly explain the nature of the visual data presented on the device?" The law enforcement officer enquired of Lorenzo, who had provided his phone for examination of the documented evidence.

"The individual wearing the mask is Cassius Mac Cárthaigh. He is known by various aliases, but that is his true name." The police officer examined the screen more closely and observed a scar above Cassius's right eye and a hint of another scar on his cheek. The mask was not properly secured.

"Can you please provide me with one of his aliases?" Lorenzo glanced at Giovanni, who discreetly shared the information.

"Raphael." The police officer wrote all the information down in his notebook regarding Cassius.

"We have been conducting an investigation to apprehend a serial killer known as Vernon Ashbourne. After reviewing the available evidence, we have noticed a striking similarity between the scar placement of Cassius and the aforementioned serial killer. In light of this development, we request your assistance in facilitating Cassius' presence at our station for further enquiry. Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated." Lorenzo and Giovanni's eyes widened in astonishment and dismay.

They had heard about the notorious serial killer, but when his face appeared on television, it was always obscured. They couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't noticed the scars before. What kind of makeup or disguise had Cassius been using to make them invisible?

"I will reach out to him immediately." Giovanni excused himself to make the phone call while Lorenzo engaged in polite conversation with the police officer.

"Excuse me, officer. I was wondering how long you have been employed here, if you don't mind me asking." The police officer raised an eyebrow but responded to him nonetheless.

"I have been employed here for seven years. By the way, what is your profession?" Lorenzo nodded in understanding as he informed the officer of his occupation.

"I am currently employed at Labyrintelligence while simultaneously serving as an agent for the BAU." The officer was rather impressed.

"Labyrintelligence has an attentive hiring process that involves extensive background checks and a selective interview process. Only selective candidates meet the rigorous requirements and are offered a position. Your acceptance into the company is a testament to your exceptional qualifications and potential." Lorenzo responded with a slight smile and a quiet chuckle.

"Excuse me, officer. I am curious to know how you have acquired such extensive knowledge about this matter." The police officer turned his attention towards Lorenzo and responded with a friendly smile.

"I am aware of someone who expressed a desire to obtain employment at that specific location. Their motivation stemmed from the fact that an acquaintance of theirs was employed there, and they wished to establish a closer connection with this individual. However, I assure you that their intentions were not in any way inappropriate or unsettling. It came to light that the person in question was actually their spouse, who had unfortunately lost their memory. Consequently, they believed that securing a job at the same workplace would provide opportunities for coincidental encounters, allowing them to observe and assess the situation as it unfolded." Lorenzo possessed an intuitive understanding of the individual's identity, rendering it unnecessary for him to seek further clarification. However, he went ahead and did it anyway.

"Excuse me, are you referring to Alistair Gallagher?" The police officer was profoundly surprised. How did he come to know about this?

"That is correct. May I ask how you came to that conclusion?" Lorenzo smiled slightly as he respectfully explained to the officer about his identity.

"I am Lorenzo Guerriero, Alistair's husband. I did lose my memory, but I fortunately recovered them six months after the incident occurred. You've been informed of the incident, right? Anyway, I have not had the opportunity to speak with him about it yet." The police officer wished to enquire further, but unfortunately, Giovanni interrupted their brief conversation before he had the chance to ask any questions.

"He is currently en route, as we are speaking."
