➹THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE➷

✾March 16th, 2013- 02:27: Sheffield✾

The nurse responsible for Lorenzo's care kindly informed him that he would be discharged from the hospital within the next hour. Lorenzo was overjoyed to receive this news, as he had grown weary of the hospital's persistent odour of hand sanitiser, bleach, and other cleaning products. Additionally, the hospital's food had not been to his liking.

On the other hand, Alistair will be released from the hospital next week because of the injuries he sustained to his head, back, and torso.

Lorenzo received the clothes he was wearing on the day of his hospital admission. The hospital staff had kindly sent them to the launderette for cleaning and freshening. He graciously offered to pay for the service, but they declined his offer, explaining that they were more than happy to assist him in this manner.

Lorenzo observed his reflection in the mirror attached to the bathroom door. Having recently exited the shower, he noticed a slight reduction in the definition of his abdominal muscles.

"I believe it would be beneficial for me to resume my gym routine." He observed to himself as he dried himself with the neatly folded towel that had been thoughtfully placed on the middle shelf beside the bathroom sink.

After wrapping the towel around his waist and exiting the bathroom, he began humming a tune to himself. However, upon noticing Alistair seated on the couch in the room, he let out a startled exclamation.

"Could you tell me how long you have been here? You startled me." Alistair chuckled lightly as he noticed Lorenzo was only wearing a towel. His complexion had turned a vibrant shade of crimson, akin to the hue of a ripe strawberry.

"I have been present here since the commencement of your singing in the shower." Lorenzo's face exhibited a vivid crimson hue, mirroring that of Alistair. Consequently, he swiftly retreated into the confines of the bathroom and secured the door behind him, evidently experiencing a profound sense of embarrassment.

A few minutes elapsed, and Lorenzo perceived a gentle knock upon the door.

"I hope you are feeling well. Your face appeared to be flushed." Alistair said while Lorenzo was attempting to cool his face, as it had become quite warm.

"I am doing well, but would you mind waiting outside or taking a seat on one of the chairs while I get dressed? I have a feeling you have something you'd like to share with me, so I will call you back when I am ready. Thank you for understanding." Alistair politely responded to Lorenzo, indicating that he was comfortable with giving him privacy until he was finished getting dressed.

"Thank you very much!" Lorenzo responded as he unlocked the bathroom door once more and opened it wide. He scanned the room to ensure that Alistair had not decided to hide from him. Fortunately, there was no one present.

Lorenzo meticulously prepared himself by getting dressed and combing his hair before exiting the room. As he turned his head to the left, he noticed Alistair seated on the chair. To politely gain his attention, Lorenzo cleared his throat.

Alistair regarded Lorenzo with a puzzled expression, thinking of the reason behind his formal attire. He promptly rose from his seat and proceeded to follow Lorenzo.

They patiently waited for the door to be fully close before Alistair chose to initiate a conversation.

"Hopefully, I will be released from the hospital next week, but they mentioned that this could easily change due to the injuries I sustained." Lorenzo smiled happily at Alistair, who bashfully looked down at the floor.

"Could you please elaborate on the circumstances that led to your hospitalization?" Lorenzo politely enquired, Alistair looked up at Lorenzo and took a deep breath in preparation for the upcoming conversation.

"I was on my way to your residence after visiting Cordelia's place. She had kindly agreed to look after your children when you collapsed, as I didn't want to leave them alone while accompanying you in the ambulance. However, as I was approaching your house, I noticed Giovanni and two of his bodyguards standing outside the door. Given that they were the only individuals in the vicinity, I suspect that they may have been responsible for the harm inflicted upon me." Lorenzo couldn't help but feel a sense of unease and frustration at the situation. Despite the loss of his memories, he had always experienced a certain discomfort around his cousin, though the reason for this remained unclear to him.

"I intend to have a conversation with him, and I kindly request that you refrain from attempting to prevent me. I am confident in my ability to manage the situation, as I have known him for many years and have become familiar with his vulnerabilities. Additionally, there is something I would like to discuss with you as well." Alistair tilted his head as Lorenzo informed him that he would be discharged from the hospital in approximately an hour.

"I intend to visit you tomorrow and possibly on the days leading up to your discharge. However, if I am unable to do so, I kindly request that you refrain from feeling angry or upset with me. Is that agreeable to you?" Alistair made another attempt to embrace Lorenzo, and this time, it felt less awkward. As they embraced, they were unaware that they were being observed through a hidden camera that had been installed in Lorenzo's room the day after his admission to the hospital.

Who could possibly behave in such a deplorable manner?
