➹THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE➷

✾March 13th, 2013- 12:52: Sheffield✾

Alistair is twenty minutes away from Giovanni's residence. He is gripping the steering wheel tightly, causing his knuckles to turn white. He is in disbelief that Mr. Giovanni would resort to such underhanded tactics, but upon further reflection, he realizes that it is not entirely unexpected.

It would be inadvisable for him to allow the documentary to be produced under any conditions. Alistair is cognizant of his innocence. However, Giovanni will distort the narrative in a manner that portrays him as the perpetrator.

Alistair discreetly monitored Giovanni's residence from a distance, his breathing becoming more noticeable as beads of sweat formed on his forehead and trickled down his chest. It would be inaccurate to disregard the formidable aura that surrounds Giovanni.

"I am capable of managing the situation. I have successfully managed similar situations in the past, and I am confident in my ability to do so again. However, I acknowledge that there is always a degree of uncertainty involved." Alistair mumbled quietly as he parked his vehicle perpendicular to Giovanni's residence, maintaining a suitable distance to ensure privacy. This strategic positioning prevented any potential onlookers from observing the vehicle through the numerous windows of the property.

He exited his vehicle after turning off the engine, unbuckling his seatbelt, and unlocking the door.

Rather than exercising caution and utilizing a safe pedestrian crossing, the individual opted to engage in a rapid running motion towards the heavily secured residence.

Alistair politely approached the small screen mounted on the tall wall surrounding the house and courteously pressed the button beside it. Almost instantly, a pleasant female voice could be heard.

"Good day, you have reached the residence of Mr. Balestrieri. May I assist you with anything?" Alistair, being aware of the woman's ability to see him through the small screen, responded with a courteous and charming smile.

"I have a scheduled meeting with Mr. Balestrieri to discuss a sensitive matter of a confidential nature." Alistair expressed his desire for the woman to trust his judgment and refrain from excessive enquiries.

"Mr. Balestrieri's schedule is clear for today." Alistair had a sense that she might respond in such a manner. Therefore, he gave careful consideration to his next words.

"This meeting is time-sensitive and requires prompt attention. He personally reached out to me, requesting my assistance with the documentary that is scheduled to be released next month." He sincerely hopes that the woman will trust him this time, as he has exhausted all his options for deception.

"Of course, I'll be happy to grant you access. He is currently in his office, which is situated on the second floor. Kindly proceed up the stairs and make a left turn. Continue walking until you reach a set of elegant mahogany double doors on your right. Those are the doors to Mr. Balestrieri's office." Alistair discreetly celebrated his success as he strategically retreated two steps back while the imposing black metal gates swung open. He took a moment to compose himself, exhaling and inhaling deeply four times before confidently ascending the steps of the residence.

The lady from earlier graciously opened the door to Giovanni's residence and invited Alistair to come in. She bestowed a benevolent smile upon him before addressing him.

"Good day! My name is Ariana. I am Mr. Balestrieri's assistant." Alistair raised an eyebrow at the woman, wondering why Giovanni would have an assistant in his home unless...

"I see you are Mr. Alistair's assistant. How intriguing." Alistair smirked, causing Ariana to blush deeply. It seemed he had deduced that her role extended beyond that of a mere assistant.

"Please proceed directly to his office, or I will be forced to notify security." Alistair chuckled to himself as he headed in the direction of Giovanni's office. He had not prepared himself in any way for what was to come, although he was confident in his abilities. But what if he was overly confident?
