THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE

✾March 08th, 2013- 09:30: Sheffield✾

Roughly fifteen minutes ago, Lorenzo contacted his mother. However, he chose not to elaborate on the matter over the phone and instead opted for a face-to-face conversation, which he deemed more suitable given the circumstances.

The infants were not assigned names as indicated on the reverse side of the previously reviewed note.

Consequently, he must now set aside a portion of his daily schedule to think of appropriate names for his daughters.

A gentle knock was heard at the door, followed by a voice calling out, "I have arrived. Please allow me entry." It appears that his mother has arrived ahead of schedule.

Lorenzo proceeded towards the door in a calm and composed manner, unlocked it, and opened it sufficiently wide to allow his mother to enter his modest home.

"Let's have a conversation in the kitchen." Lorenzo became anxious and discreetly took hold of his mother's hand before guiding her into the sitting room instead, as the kitchen was in a state of disarray with empty beer bottles that he had not yet had the opportunity to dispose of.

Mrs. Guerriero was about to ask her son a question but paused upon noticing the bassinets.

"I am curious to know if you are once again babysitting for your friend?" Upon further examination, it was discovered that the offspring of Lorenzo's friend are not a male and a female as previously believed, but rather two females.

In conclusion, it has been determined that the babies in question are not his friends' children but rather belong to another person. However, the identity of this person remains unknown.

"Meredith was in her first trimester on our wedding day in September of last year. She chose not to inform me earlier as she did not wish to use it as a reason to remain in a relationship with me. Additionally, she had no desire to become a mother either." Mrs. Guerriero was taken aback by the unexpected news her son shared with her.

"It seems that she has high expectations of your ability to take on the responsibility of two babies, despite your lack of experience in childcare. Additionally, it appears that you may not have the necessary resources to properly care for them." Lorenzo sighed and ran a hand through his hair in frustration as he regarded the infants, who had yet to awaken since their recent arrival.

"I am unsure of the appropriate course of action regarding them." His mother offered a sorrowful smile to her son, extending her arms to embrace him in a comforting hug.

"I will proceed to the nearest baby store, which is approximately a twenty-minute drive from our current location, to procure the necessary items. Could you kindly provide a spare room for temporary storage of these supplies? Furthermore, please do not be concerned about reimbursement, as I have already extended the offer and do not expect compensation." Lorenzo could always rely on his mother, but was Meredith's choice the most appropriate in this situation?
