It has been a year since the truth was disclosed and a year since Cassius regrettably passed away.
One month after his passing, Giovanni convinced Lorenzo to finally disclose the truth to everybody.
Alistair was the one who suffered the most. He was deeply saddened by the fact that Lorenzo had pretended to have memory loss.
Lorenzo provided an explanation for his actions, and while it was challenging to forgive him, Alistair ultimately relented and welcomed his husband back with open arms.
Giovanni was present at that moment and was deeply moved to the point of almost shedding tears as he witnessed his former beloved entering the embrace of another individual.
In addition, Giovanni disclosed the actual events that transpired on the aforementioned day in Cornwall. While Alistair initially struggled to accept this revelation, Lorenzo successfully persuaded him of its truth. The information provided was accurate.
Cordelia and Dante were admitted to the hospital and placed in medically induced comas to undergo comprehensive examinations. The medical team is dedicated to thoroughly assessing their conditions and exploring potential treatment options to address their memory loss.
It is hoped that a solution will be found to assist them in recovering their memories even if it is just a small amount.
In the meantime, Lorenzo concluded his phone conversation with Meredith, who shared the news of her imminent return to Sheffield following a several-month absence.
"Meredith will be returning home in a week. Are you excited about it, Alistair?" Lorenzo enquired politely, noticing Alistair's contemplative state as he leaned against the balcony.
Lorenzo posed a query to his spouse.
"I'd like to know what's on your mind, my dear." Alistair pivoted and swiftly approached Lorenzo, enveloping him in a gentle embrace.
"In reference to the recent news regarding Cassius, I came across an article a week after his passing was confirmed. The article included a photograph that supposedly depicted him in a body bag, although he was not clearly visible. Additionally, there was a video attached to the article, which had a portion cut out. When the video resumed, the body bag was already zipped up and placed in the back of an ambulance. I am curious about the significance of these observations and would appreciate your insights." Lorenzo affectionately stroked his spouse's hair as he contemplated a potential response to Alistair's enquiry.
"It is possible that the decision not to publicly display the deceased man on national television was made out of concern for the potential negative impact it could have on viewers, particularly children who might have been watching at the time. The decision may have been made with safety and sensitivity in mind." Lorenzo affectionately looked down at Alistair and placed a gentle kiss upon his head.
Alistair gave Lorenzo a contented smile.
After some time, the couple entered the bedroom to engage in enjoyable activities to express their affection for one another.
Additionally, Lorenzo will kindly inform his husband about a delightful surprise he has planned for him in the upcoming week.
