Mommy Dearest *Completed but Not Edited*

Chapter 15

Jaida: 

"He did what!?!?!" 

"Asked me for a second chance and he's leaving again. Tonight!!!" 

"That ass!" 

"Shhhh Bella's nearby," I said scolding Genny as we spoke over the phone with her on loud speaker as I had just finished telling her what had happened with Derek. 

"Oh sorry but Jai!!! Really! That's just messed up!" she exclaimed. 

"I know Gen, trust me I know but whatever it's over and done with and forgotten but anywho I got go, Cameron's coming over," I said with a light blush across my cheeks even though Genny couldn't see me. 

"Ohhh, well don't let me keep you from your man, later sweetie!" she said, hanging up the phone before I had a chance to respond. 

I shook my head in amusement as I placed my phone on the counter and walked into my kitchen.  

"Bella Marie, go put away your toys, Cameron's coming soon!" I shouted into the living room, knowing that's where she was. 

"Yes momma," I heard some shuffling before I heard the tiny footsteps fading as she ran off to her room.  

A knock came from the door, a few minutes later, "Coming!" I shouted, while I fixed my clothes and hair before walking to the door. Taking a deep breath, I paused for a moment, 'why do I feel so nervous it's just Cameron. You know Cameron, he's been one of your closest friend for the past two years.  

When you open the door to your home, the last thing you expect is to get slapped in the face and that's exactly what happened. I turned back my head, still in shock and disbelief to see a pissed off Ronnie. 

"For God's sake Jaida, people make mistakes and deserve second chances! Who are you to act like a stuck up bitch!" she exclaims before heading back to Maggie's apartment and slamming the door.  

What the hell just happened?? Before I could completely register what happened a soft scared voice breaks through my thoughts, 

"Momma?" I turned to see Bella peeping from around the corner with tears running heavily down her face, "Momma why did aunty Ronnie hit you?" 

Cameron's voice is heard before I have a chance to answer Bella, "Jaida are you ok? Bella what happened?" concern and worry clear in his voice. 

"Uncle Cammy, aunty Ronnie hit her," I watched in a daze as Bella ran quickly into Cam's arms for protection. 

"Jai....," I was vaguely aware of Cameron calling me and my body being pulled into the apartment but not for the life of me could I register what had just occurred.

Cameron: 

After two long years, I'd finally gotten my chance with Jaida, it may not have been what I expected but I've still got my chance. She's so gorgeous and she has this amazing personality. When my grandma first told me about her, I had to admit I was a bit skeptical because I mean the girl has a kid but when I saw her for the first time, working in my gran's diner I had to admit I was smitten with her from then on and I knew I had to get to know her. Then I found out she attended the same university as me and I just knew we were meant to be. 

Then after a year of being her friend, she finally allowed me to meet Isabella and that little girl has me wrapped around her little fingers, the both of them do actually, I'd do anything for them both, just to make them happy. I knew Jaida was a bit scared to let me meet her daughter but I didn't plan on walking out of her life anytime soon, unlike her ex-boyfriend so she had nothing to worry about.
