Jaida:
Unfortunately Cameron and I hadn't been able to talk last night, I fell asleep almost instantly after taking a hot shower. My head felt heavy when I woke up the next morning. My body hurt all over. Dragging myself out of bed I headed into the bathroom, immediately grabbing onto the counter as my vision blurred for a moment. This is not what I needed now, I couldn't afford to get sick. I looked pale as I stared at my reflection in the mirror and I felt like I was freezing. Shaking my head, I released a pained groan as my head throbbed. Walking out the bathroom I headed into the kitchen where Cam was drinking coffee lost in his thoughts.
"Hey Cam?" I called out to him softly.
He looked up in surprise, "Jai, you ok? You don't look so good?" He asked, sliding off his seat to come closer to me.
"I think I'm getting the flu. Where's Bella?" I asked, recalling that she wasn't in the room when I woke up.
"She's at Clara's"
I stiffened, "What!?!" I exclaimed, before groaning and clutching my head in my hands.
He stared at me like I was insane, "Don't you remember last night?"
I shook my head slowly and he furrowed his eyebrows, "It was raining too heavy last night, I didn't want to take the chance on the road so we called grandma and she kept Bella with her."
My mouth formed an 'O' as I took in his words. He stepped up closer to me and placed a hand on my forehead, "Jeez Jai, You're burning up!"
I raised my hand and placed it over his own sighing at how warm his hand felt to me, even though he said I had a fever. "Can you just leave your hand there for awhile," I mumble softly, black dots appear in my vision and I close my eyes for a few moments.
I felt my body fall forward as I slumped forward into Cameron's arms, "Jai, maybe you should go to the hospital just to make sure you're alright," I heard him say, although it sounded muffled in my ears.
"No, no hospitals! I just need some sleep and some medicine but please no hospitals," I pleaded with Cameron. Ever since Samantha died before my eyes I've hated being in hospitals, the last time I was there was when Bella had an allergy attack and since then I've been extra careful.
"Can you stand?" he asked gently.
"Yea, just please get me something," I asked, stifling a moan when pain ran through my body.
"Jai?" I was vaguely aware of Cam calling me but I didn't have the effort to answer him, I felt my eyes slowly closing and my body swaying. I heard Cameron calling me before it all went black.
Cameron:
I winced when I heard the smack as I watched Jaida fall to the ground, I managed to catch her before she hit the ground but I hadn't realized she was so close to the table, She's going to have a nasty bruise when she wakes up. I needed to get her to the hospital, she was sick from being out in the rain so long and now that she hit her head I had to make sure she didn't have a concussion.
Lifting her up in my arms, I pulled my phone out my pocket and called grandma, "Cam Cam!" I winced at that. She had been calling me that since I was five and no matter how much I begged her she refused to stop.
"Grandma, I need you to watch Bella for the day. Something's happen."
"What's wrong? Where's Jai?" she asked her voice full of concern. Jaida was like her granddaughter, she cared for her just as much as she cared for me, maybe even more.
"She got sick and passed out but she hit her head and I need to take her to the hospital, Please grandma?"
"Of course Cam, go on ahead and take care of her, call me as soon as you can."
