Jaida:
Waking up from another night of the best sleep ever seriously leaves a person feeling refreshed. Once again I woke up next to Cameron, not that I minded it didn't feel weird, it felt right. I felt movement beside me so I assumed Cameron was awake but I wasn't ready to face the day just yet so I closed my eyes and rolled over, my face facing his chest and snuggled closer to him. I knew he knew I was awake but he didn't say a word, I felt him press a kiss on my bruised wrist and mumble something softly to himself and gently started running his fingers through my hair before I finally fell asleep again.
When I woke up later Bella was curled up under me and Cameron was nowhere around. I guess he slipped out of bed earlier to get her from Clara's. Not that I minded, I wanted to spend the day with my baby-girl today, just us two. I hadn't had a 'Mommy and me' day in so long and it was long over due. I slid out of bed and headed to the kitchen hoping to find Cameron.
"Hey." I found him drinking coffee and leaning up against the kitchen counter.
"Hey babe, coffee?" he asked, already pouring me a cup.
"Thanks." I smiled at him and took a sip, "What do you have planned today?"
He shrugged in response, "Why?"
"I just wanted to spend some time with Bella alone today, if that's alright," I told him softly.
"Jai, you don't need permission or approval to spend the day with your daughter, I'll go see Shane or grandma," he told me with a bright smile, "Just call me if you need me, alright? And be safe?"
I smiled sadly when I saw he was staring at my bruised wrist and walked up to him, wrapping my hands around his waist and burying my face in his chest, "We'll be fine, trust me."
He pulled away and rolled his eyes, "That doesn't stop me from worrying."
"I know but it's worth a try," I told him opening his fridge, getting breakfast for myself, "Did Bella eat?"
"Grandma fed her but she's asleep so she may wake up hungry, she fell asleep on the drive back."
I nodded, knowing Clara she had my poor baby up baking and she's tired, Bella never sleeps this late, "We'll probably pick something up while we're out."
"What about dinner? Do you need me to bring something home?"
I scrunched my face, I was beginning to hate fast food, "No, I'll figure out something." I'll have to stop at the store on the way home later, I was going to try my hand at cooking again, now that I knew what Bella was allergic to, I could work around that. There were tons of other dishes I could make without mushrooms.
"Well sweetie, I'm going to wake my baby and get out of here, you enjoy your day and if you're going to be with Shane all day, behave yourself," I told him and turned to look him in the eye before I walked off.
He gave me an innocent look and smiled. Shane and Cameron were like eight year old boys when together and I feel sorry for Liza to be having to deal with those two, it's like raising a child and I know firsthand that's not easy.
"Bella Marie," I whispered when I walked back into Cam's room and sat at the edge of the bed. "Wake up baby," I moved her curls from her face and gently shook her.
"Momma?" I smiled at her sleepy voice and confused expression.
"Time to wake up baby, Momma's got plans for you today."
It amazed me, how quick her expression changed from the original sleepy expression to one of excitement, "Really Momma? What are we doing today?" Where did she keep all this energy stored? She's so small.
