Cameron:
I couldn't help but stare at my woman having the time of her life on the dance-floor. I watched in utter fascination the way her hips swayed and rolled in time with the music. I knew Shane had been trying to talk to me for the past ten minutes but I didn't care. Jaida had my full attention and I didn't want to be watching anything else.
A slap to the back of the head had me turning to see Genny smirking at me, I smiled sheepishly at her, "What?"
"Man! You're whipped!" I heard Shane exclaim from the other side of me.
I won't deny that, I knew it was true. I would do anything for Jai. Anything to protect her and make her happy. She and Bella were my life. I nodded in agreement and allowed my eyes to stray back to Jai. I knew she was aware of me watching her, every time she turned my way, we'd make eye contact. The little minx. I was glad she chose to wear that dress, it showed off all her curves in all the right ways.
I glanced their way once more and blinked in surprise when I realized Liza was headed our way but Jai wasn't with her.
"She went to the bathroom Romeo chill out," Liza said before I even had time to say anything.
"You let her go by herself! Liza are you crazy!?!" I all but shouted at her. I knew Jai was wasted but I didn't think she was that out of her head to go off on her own.
"Calm down Cam, she'll be fine," Liza said, planting herself on Shane's lap.
I glanced over at Genny giving her a pleading look, I knew she was worried as well. We had never been here before and it wasn't safe for us to be on our own.
"Let's just wait a few minutes, then I'll go check. If she left on the dance-floor then chances are she'll be on her way back," she said as her eyes roamed over the club, looking for signs of Jaida.
The past two minutes felt like fifteen and I was getting antsy. Jai still hadn't showed up. I all but begged Liza and Genny to go look for her while Shane went to the bar and the other levels to see if anyone spotted her. I was looking around through the dance-floor, hoping I would see her there, dancing her heart out like before.
Five minutes passed and we met up at the booth again, my heart skipped a beat when Liza and Genny shook their heads. I flinched slightly at the guilty look on Liza's face. I knew for a fact she would hate herself if anything terrible happened. God forbid that happened.
Shane comes up behind us with the same worried look as the rest of us, "I checked the other levels but still no sign of her."
Genny took in a sharp breath and I looked up to see her holding back tears, "Maybe she wander outside. The emergency exits are right next the bathroom, she could have confused herself and ended up outside."
I wanted to be positive but I wasn't too sure that we'd like what we'd see when we finally found her. Jai couldn't have been that out of her senses to end up wandering outside and from the look on Liza and Shane's face they knew Genny was just trying to remain positive.
Genny and Liza headed through the main exit to try to see if they saw her wandering around the sides while Shane and I headed towards the emergency exit. I stood at the top of the stairs glancing around while Shane went ahead, looking for some clue that could indicate she was here.
I blinked in surprise when I heard Shane yelling for me at the bottom of the stairs, "Cameron! Come quick, we found her."
My heart skipped a beat at his voice, it was thick, like he was forcing himself not to cry, A sense of dread washed over me and I rushed down the stairs to meet Shane, there was a strained expression on his face. Like whatever he saw wasn't good.
