Cameron:
I could definitely get used to waking up like this, with Jaida at my side. It's been a week since she's moved in and she's slept in my bed every night since then. I've gotten used to seeing her peaceful face every morning when I wake up. Even though we've just started dating, I loved her long before that and one day I'm going to marry her. I roll over onto my back and drag her along with me so she's lying on my chest and I just stare at her.
She really was gorgeous, absolutely stunning, with her big chocolate brown eyes and long brown hair to match, hair that I loved to pass my fingers through every chance I get. I could stare at her all day if she'd let me or kiss her full pouty lips all day as well. I glanced down at the hand she had placed on me, the hand that had the bruise on it from our date at the skating it. Though the bruise was long gone I couldn't help but get angry still. I should have been there sooner, she should have never gotten hurt. If I ever see that guy again, I'll definitely teach him a thing or two about manhandling girls. What kind of guy does that? I could never see myself taking advantage of or hurting Jaida or Bella. They're my life now.
My phone ringing from the bedside table interrupts my thoughts and I feel Jaida, shifting above me. Gently sliding her to the side and get out of bed to take my phone call in the kitchen so I wouldn't wake her up.
"Liza? What's up?" I answer, heading into the kitchen.
"Cam, your woman still looking for a job?"
"Yea, why?" This past week she had been putting in a lot more hours at grandma's diner.
"Think she'd be interested in working for me, Shane and I need someone to do our accounts and I know she's qualified for it."
I furrowed my eyebrows at her words and then smirked, "You sure you need a new accountant or you just wanna gossip with my girlfriend?"
She laughed and I could hear the smile in her voice, "Well that's a plus to hiring her, but I really need an accountant."
"I'll see what I can do," I told her honestly, Jaida was a stubborn ass when it came to her finding a job.
"Get her there Cam, I haven't placed a help wanted ad out yet, I'm giving her first preference, if she's interested it's her's."
I let out a low whistle, "First preference Liz? You really want to make a friend, fed up of Shane and I already?"
She groaned, "Yes, I would love to finally have another girl to talk to for a change."
I chuckled and shook my head even though she couldn't see me, "She'll be there."
"Awesome Cam you're a doll, have her there by one."
I glanced at the clock, it was already nine, I would have to wake her up now, she would want to spend some time with Bella this morning as well, "Yea no problem, thanks Liza."
I couldn't believe it, this job could be Jai's big break, I know she said she didn't want me to help her get a job but this time it wasn't me, this was all Liza. I knew she's been waiting for this opportunity to be friends with Jai since I admitted to her and Shane how I really felt about her. Jaida would be stupid to pass up this opportunity, Liza and Shane run their own businesses. They own a couple of restaurants all over the city, that they opened as soon as they graduated from high school with the help of their parents until they got their degrees and were able to manage it on their own. Liza was usually in charge of the accounts so business must be really good if she's hiring someone to help her out.
"What are you smiling at babe?" I looked up to see Jai, leaning against the doorway to the kitchen. I hadn't noticed it the night before but she was in one of my t-shirts and she looked damn good in it as I slowly trailed my eyes up and down her body.
