Jaida:
Bella's birthday party went off without any problems. Bella had fun and I didn't think it was possible but she actually tired herself out. When Cam got them inside to watch movies she fell instantly asleep on his lap. Usually when she goes to sleep early she wakes up during the night but last night she slept straight through I was glad for that since this single mother was extremely tired, I got some well deserved rest as well.
Now it was Sunday and we were all just lazing around trying to figure out what we should be doing, "Cam we should go back to that ice skating rink from our first date," Genny jumped in, in full agreement.
Before we could make any agreements my phone rang out so I left Cameron and Genny to plan.
"Hellooo," I answered not bothering to check who was calling.
"Jai!!!!"
I cursed silently at my sister's high pitched voice coming through the phone line,"Jasmine. This is unexpected." I walked into the kitchen to get some privacy.
"I know but I need your help," she said with a pleading voice.
I sighed, knowing I was going to regret this conversation, "What do you want?"
"Wellll. Ma is here and she's looking for me so I need you to let me stay at your place and maybe give me some money for awhile, at least until she leaves," she said in a rushed voice.
"No, no chance in hell!" I said a bit too loudly.
"What do you mean no!?!" She screeched.
"I told you I wasn't going to give you anything. I told you I wasn't going to help you that you needed to get your act together and do this on your own so if mom finds you then let her help you out 'cause I'm done," I said in a hard voice, aware that my voice was rising so I walked back out the kitchen to the backyard.
She screamed and I could see her stamping her feet in frustration,"You're such a bitch Jaida! You sure as hell got what you deserved."
I heard the malice in her voice and my blood ran cold, "What do you mean?" I asked, struggling to keep my voice steady.
"You know exactly what I mean. How long has it been Jai? A week since you were attacked?" She asked in a harsh voice.
I couldn't talk, all the strong words I had were stuck in my throat, "I was there baby sister, I sent the guy to teach you a lesson but you don't seem to get it yet, do I need to remind you?"
I grabbed onto the railing, feeling weak and light headed all of a sudden, "You're sick you know that?" I asked my voice thick.
I flinched when she cackled through the phone, "Oh baby, I'm not sick. You should have just given me what I wanted and this would have never happened. You did this to yourself! It seems you need a reminder of how bad that night was for you."
I heard a sound indicating I had a message, "I'll be hearing from you soon baby sister."
I stared down at my phone after she hung up, shivers running up and down my spine as a cold sweat broke out across my forehead. I stared at the notification indicating I had a video message and I couldn't stop my heart from racing.
I pressed play and my sister's face appeared on the screen, "Hopefully baby sis, when you recover from this, you treat me a little better."
She blew a kiss to the screen and turned it to something that was happening behind her. Black spots instantly appeared in my vision and the urge to vomit hit me strongly as I let out a loud gasp. The same thing that plagued my nightmares every night, I was seeing as if it was happening right this minute. I felt myself swaying and my eyes sliding shut, just as my knees gave out and the phone fell out my hand.
