"sorry, i'm so sorry, i'm sorry for not being here sooner," liberty babbled as she pulled out the chair and took a seat with her best friend and the girl he's seeing. "my boyfriend was being very needy. i apologise."

"boyfriend? already?" daniel furrowed as he slid the cherry cola he ordered for her over.

"thanks," she ignored his comment as she took a sip from the drink.

"lil, this is violet.. violet, lilli," he then introduced the girls seems the elder of the two didn't say anything more.

"hi, it's nice to meet you," violet smiled.

"hi.."

"you okay?" daniel gently nudged liberty's foot under than table to get her attention.

"mhm," she nodded. "just tired."

"are you sleeping at your place tonight, or the boyfriend's?"

"aj's.."

"maybe you should stay at your place tonight instead.." he suggested. "if you're already tired today, imagine how you're gonna be tomorrow.."

"stop worrying about me."

daniel subtly shook his head, glancing over to violet then back at the other; "lib, get to know violet, i gotta go to the bathroom."

"men," liberty shook her head once again yet this time a little more playfully, then gaining a small giggle from the other girl as she said; "always trying to tell girls what to do."

"you fool," daniel lightly nudge her after that comment before wandering off.

"... so what is it that you do, lilli?"

"i'm a hairdresser."

"oh, really?" violet spoke with enthusiasm, watching her slowly nod while furrowing. "i'm in need of finding a new hairdresser, mine moved away.. i've been putting it off cause i don't want my hair getting botched."

"your hair's a dark brown.. that's not hard to do."

"it's more the cut," she chuckled. "i'm very particular about it, especially with my job being social media. one bad hair cut will throw me off of making any content till it's grown out."

"hm," she hummed.

"i have a veggie salad for you, miss," their waitress interrupted with their meals at the perfect moment, placing the first place down in front of the younger. "the dairy free pasta?"

"that'll be mine i guess, thanks," liberty replied.

"and then the beef burger, and sweet potato fries," she continued, placing daniel's where he was sitting and then the side dish in the centre of the table. "is there anything else i can grab?"
