after eating dinner at daniel's place, hanging out for a moment and liberty agreeing with the friends she lived with on talking that same night, the two had headed a couple streets over to said girls' house around nine-pm.
tension was high in the living room they sat in, liberty on her phone texting while daniel was sharing small talk with two of girls about their days to avoid the awkward silence as they waited for haven to finish showering.
"lib.." daniel whispered to the girl sat closely beside him, softly tapping her thigh as haven joined the group and he gained the younger's attention. "you okay?" he said with a slight chuckle, seeing a smile across her face.
"mhm," liberty happily nodded, showing him the messages between her and charley. "she makes me feel giddyyy!" she grinned.
she typed out a little message to the girl she was into, explaining that she'll talk again later before hesitantly letting out an inaudible sigh while she turned her phone off and awkwardly looking across the three other girls, then at her best friend as she was clueless for words.
"i'm sorry lilli," haven broke the silence. "i know you probably don't think i am, but i am. if i knew that he was seeing you i wouldn't have ever let things progress with him and i would've told you right away."
"but you did know i was seeing him?" liberty furrowed.
"i knew you were seeing sebastian, yes, but you have to understand that his tinder name's tatum, which he confessed the other night is actually his middle name.." she defended. "if it was sebastian i would've made sure he wasn't the same one, i promise you, lil. i never meant to hurt you and i'm sorry that i have."
"i just don't understand why you would want to stay with him after all this?!" she slightly raised her voice as she begun to work herself up. "like do you not feel betrayed by him lying to you? cause i definitely do, by both of you."
"i was never lying to you," haven quickly shook her head. "i can understand why you think i'd feel betrayed like knowing he was on there talking to other girls while he was with you, but you have to understand i really like him and i trust him-"
"i really liked him and trusted him!" she cut her off. "you know that's me. i let myself be so venerable with people only to be hurt by them all."
"lilli please be honest with yourself.." kassiana chimed in. "i hate seeing you two- any of us fight over something so small... you wouldn't have wanted to stay with him after knowing he was still on tinder anyway so could you please be a little forgiving for haven's side of things."
"not forgiving him is very valid, like i don't blame you," she continued. "but, this? you and seb were together for like two months and you never introduced us to him till the other night, it's not like hay's stolen your long term boyfriend. it's still sucky, but she didn't know.."
