"'bout time you showed up," aj wrapped a arm around the girl's lower back and pulled her in closer as he grabbed her chin with his other hand, kissing her on the lips.

"i told you.." liberty softly said through a chuckled as she slightly pulled away from him. "i was runnin' late with my client."

"you look so hot in this dress," he ignored her response, glancing her up and down before going back in for another kiss.

continuing to move his lips against her for a minute or so more while she just went along with it, aj eventually pulling away and quickly flicking his head around as he heard the sound of clattering behind them.

"stop breaking my shit fuckwit!" he raised his voice at his friend — who he had instructed to bring his dj equipment into the club.

"key fuckin' word there dude, 'my' as in YOUR shit, fuckin' help me then if you don't want it broken," jonty scoffed.

"don't get the shits with me, i was just tryna say hi to my girlfriend," aj subtly signalled to the girl before rolling his eyes and starting to walk out to his car.

"be careful being with him," jonty spoke once he noticed the other boy out of the space.

"okay.." liberty slightly furrowed her brows for a second, watching him as he didn't say anything else and followed in the direction of aj.

awkwardly standing there for a second, she then folded her arms and glanced around the room as she thought what to do but also taking in the unopened club setting.

wandering over and taking a seat at one of the tables she grabbed her phone out of her handbag, texting her best friend back to back;

' jamesy '

' what's ya girls number? '

' i want to hang with her '

' without you '

' loser '

and only a couple seconds passed till her phone was ringing with a call from the boy. she quickly flickered her eyes over to aj who was still distracted with setting up, then instantly swiping across and holding it up to her ear.

"dani.." she answered.

"hi lib," he replied.

"hey"

"what do you want violet's number for?" he slightly chuckled.

"like i said, to hang," she said in a duh tone. "i thought you wanted us to get along?"

"i do.. but aren't you with aj?"

"ya but he's workin' and i don't have anyone to hang out with."

"go home then?" he more so suggested. "you don't have to be anywhere that he is especially if you don't want to be there.."

"i want to be here," she quickly defended. "just not alone."

he quietly sighed at the thought of her just wanting to please aj, then said; "well violet's not twenty-one yet.. and she's also more of a homebody.."

"oh.. i didn't know you were into the underage."

"she's twenty not a teenager," he awkwardly chuckled. "and you would have seen that on her tinder.."

"i didn't read her age," she furrowed. "i was just lookin' at how pretty she was."

"of course you were.." his words slightly faded out as they both went silent. ".. why don't you invite one of the girls out? sammy? kassy?"

"i haven't talked to them in ages.."

"didn't.. you go home after work?"

"yeah.. but they weren't home," she shrugged as she sunk back onto the lounge. "only haven was with that fucking dick sebastian," she added with a scoff.

"right.. why don't you message them?"

"i don't know.. they're obviously busy if they're not home."

"good point.. what about louise or autumn?"

"they're probably busy. it's fine dan-" she cut herself off as she saw aj walking over to her, sending him a small smile. "i'll just hang out with my boyfriend."

"okay.."

"alright.."

"have fun then.."

"i will."

"i love you"

"love you.." she replied as she moved over slightly for the boy after he had signalled her to so he could take a seat beside her. "i'll text you later."

"bye libby."

"bye-bye," she pulled the phone away from her ear and hung up the call, turning her phone off and setting it down on her lap while looking at the one next to her.

"who was that?"

"my friend," she lent in a placed a quick kiss on the boy's lips. "i was tryna get them to come out and hang with me but they're busy."

"you'll be fine with me, you don't need them," he brushed it off, his arm weaving around behind her and resting on her lower back as he pulled her in closer to him. "you only need me."

"of course," she whispered whilst his lips pressed against her.
