Memories of last night flooded her brain as she opened her eyes, looking at the unfamiliar room around her. She felt the hand around her waist move slightly but not much.
She didn't quite know what she felt after that and neither did she know if she regretted it but as Ferran said the night before, one night never hurt anyone.
She felt the man next to her stir and she turned around. "Good morning." he smirked at her.
"Good morning, Fernando." she said and he laughed at the nickname.
"You alright?" he asked and she nodded, it was sweet that he cared.
"Yeah, you?"
"All great." he said, smiling at her as he kissed the top of her head. "Especially after last night."
She was about to say something when her phone rang. It stopped before she could pick up.
Great, four missed calls from Rosa and too many messages.
She'd forgotten to text her last night, telling her she got home and now Rosa was probably freaking out.
She called her back and immediately heard Rosa's loud voice. She whinced at the sound as Ferran just laughed quietly, hearing everything Rosa was telling her.
"What the hell, Lara?" Rosa exclaimed. "Why didn't you text me? Call me? Respond to me? I was so worried, I swear I was just about to call everyone you know to ask if you're with them."
"I'm sorry." she said, slapping Ferran's arm as he laughed at her silently. "I was really tired yesterday when I got home and I forgot and I just woke up, sorry."
"Don't do it again." Rosa said. "I was literally about to get up and go over to yours to find out where the fuck you were."
"Okay, calm down."
"Sorry, I was just scared." Rosa said, breathing out. "All I know is you left and nothing from you the whole night. I don't even know Ferran or have his number and I was starting to think it was a bad idea I let him drive you home, I thought something happened."
"Don't worry." she said. "I got home all in one piece."
"Good." Rosa said. "You're feeling better?"
"Yes." she said, watching as Ferran stood up, putting on a shirt. "I'm all good now. I think I may have eaten something bad. But, I'm all okay now."
"Is someone there with you?" Rosa asked.
"What? No." Lara said and Ferran silently laughed again at her.
"Oh, I thought I heard footsteps."
"No, that was just me." she lied. "Okay, I've got to go. See you later?"
"Yeah, I'll come over later." she said before adding, "After work."
"I'll be waiting." she said and after saying bye she hung up and watched as Ferran finally laughed out loud at her.
"You're such a good liar. Even I believed it that I actually dropped you off last night." he said.
"I don't know what you mean." she said, getting up. "You did."
"Of course I did." he said. "I can drop you off today though."
"Don't you have training?" she asked him.
"Yeah, in an hour so I can drop you off on the way." he said.
"And you'll actually drop me off?" she asked and he laughed.
"Yes, I'll actually drop you off this time."
And he did. After eating breakfast together, he got ready for training whilst she just put on her clothes from yesterday, brushing out her hair with her fingers as Ferran didn't have a hairbrush.
"I have a feeling this isn't the last time I'll be dropping you off." he said, smirking as he stopped the car outside of her building.
"One night, Ferran." she reminded him, putting her phone in her purse.
"Whatever you say." he smirked. "I know I wouldn't mind more."
"Bye." she said and he laughed as she got out.
"I'm one text away. I mean it. No strings, no feelings, nothing." he said, leaning over to look at her with one hand still on the steering wheel through the passenger door as she waved at him, closing the door and he waved back at her, jokingly sending her a kiss as he winked.
He drove to the training centre, getting out and making his way to the changing room. He was a little later than everyone else but not actually late.
He walked in and took his usual spot beside Pedri.
"Someone's happy today?" Pedri said, smirking at him.
"Slept well." he said and carried on after getting an unconvinced look from Pedri. "What?"
"Nothing." Pedri said, turning back. "I just saw you leaving with Lara."
"Yeah," he nodded. "She wasn't feeling well and I was tired so I was going to go home as well. I just dropped her off, that's all."
He didn't like lying to his friend but didn't want to face the consquences of his actions either, so preferred to keep it a secret. It wasn't the best thing to do and it would probably come out one day but that was for future him to deal with. Although it seemed like Pedri suspected it and didn't seem to have a problem with it, maybe he really had moved on.
"Oh." Pedri looked at him, stopping changing. "You actually just dropped her off?"
"Yeah." Ferran said, he was about to take off his shirt to put his training one on but stopped himself, he didn't quite know if she left any marks so instead opted for changing into his shorts.
"That's weird for you." Pedri said.
"I can control myself sometimes." he smirked and Pedri laughed.
"Funny words." he said as Ferran slapped his shoulder.

"So he actually only dropped her off?" Gavi asked quietly as him and Pedri sat on the water box, resting for a bit during training. Gavi was injured from November last year but still sometimes came to watch the training and spend time with his teammates. After all being injured wasn't fun; going from being surrounded by people all the time to only a few specific ones definitely wasn't easy.
"Apparently, yeah." Pedri replied, taking a drink out of his bottle. "That's what he said at least. But it seemed like he meant it."
"Well then that's good, no?" Gavi asked, trying to cheer up his friend, who'd been acting weirdly since last night.
"Yeah." Pedri shrugged. "I suppose, but I've moved on, so what he does or doesn't do with her is none of my business and it doesn't bother me."
"Except it does." Gavi said and Pedri turned to him. "Look at yourself, you've been all weird since you saw them leaving together last night."
"What?" he asked before shaking his head. "No, I haven't. I don't know what you're saying."
"Pedri." Gavi sent him a knowing look.
"Break's up." Pedri muttered, getting up and rejoining the training.
