"How do you feel?" Lara asked, sitting down next to her best friend, who lay in her bed. She placed a glass of cold water and a tablet on the nightstand next to her.

"I think I should be asking you that." Rosa said, sitting up. "You saw Pedri yesterday after, what, two years?"

"Yeah, something like that." Lara said. "I don't think I want to talk about it."

"Whatever you say." Rosa said, doing a zipping action. "Mouth: shut."

Lara smiled, getting up. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Nothing, I'm going to throw up." Rosa said.

"The bathroom's there." Lara said, pointing at the door attached to her room. "Or out there. You have two to dispose of, do not throw up in my room."

"Don't worry." Rosa said, laughing as she drank the water and took the tablet. "I know this already."

"Just making sure." Lara said, but she didn't leave, her hand hovering over the handle.

"Go on," Rosa said, knowing her best friend. "What do you want to say?"

"No, nothing." Lara said, shaking her head before opening the door and leaving the room.

She went to the kitchen but instead of making herself breakfast, she sat at the island and picked her phone up, opening Instagram. She opened the account that she was so familiar with after these years.

They didn't follow each other, they had unfollowed each other after the break up, but both would stalk each other's Instagrams every once in a while, even though they didn't have a clue the other was doing the same. They both told themselves it was just out of curiousity, just to see what the other was up to.

Sure.

A collaboration with Springfield, a picture from training, it seemed, and a picture from the recent Barcelona match in the Supercopa filled her eyes as she scanned the profile.

He seemed to be doing well. She scrolled a little lower and saw more posts, but those ones she'd already seen before.

She made sure to not like any of the posts or interact with them in any way. Not that she was hiding it but she thought it would probably be weird if she just liked one of his posts after two years.

She couldn't deny the fact that, now, he was even more attractive than ever before. But she tried not to think of that as she walked back to her bedroom, where Rosa was still resting.

So she did really live in Barcelona now.

He looked at her most recent post from yesterday of her by the beach as the sun set, maybe from the balcony of her apartment. He sighed as he looked through her other posts: some with her friends back in Tenerife and some of just herself.

He was careful not to click on her story and instead opted for her highlights. He clicked the one that was dedicated to pictures with friends. Just as luck had him, it happened that the most recent highlight was from last night. A picture of her with Rosa and a guy he didn't know but saw her talk with last night.

Fuck.

He quickly clicked off the highlight but he knew she'd be able to see that he viewed it either way. But that wasn't what he thought about though, he couldn't help the disappointed feeling in his stomach at the thought that maybe that guy was her boyfriend.
