"You okay?" Frenkie asks me as we finish up that days training.

I huff, this past week has been hell. I texted Lara many times after that one that Ferran texted but she just read them all and ignored my calls.

She was always quite stubborn so her behaviour doesn't necessarily surprise me but that doesn't mean that it isn't bothering or annoying me.

"Not quite." I say, looking as everyone makes their way to the changing rooms.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asks me, smiling.

"Yeah." I say and he nods, going to sit on the stands next to us and patting the seat next to him.

I sit down and sigh and then explain everything to him. The whole thing between Ferran and Lara, mine and Lara's arguement, the whole lot essentially. And all he does while I blabber is nod, looking at me and listening intently. After I finish he also lets out a breath and I chuckle.

"It's a lot, I know." I say and he laughs.

"You're definitely going through a more interesting phase in your life." he says and I laugh.

"Clearly." I say.

"I agree with Ferran, though." he says. "She needs time, although you said this all happened, what, a week ago, yeah?"

"Yeah." I nod.

"Maybe she's waiting for you to do something." he says and I look at him confused.

"I texted and called her so many times already." I say and he shakes him head.

"No, I mean like actually do something." he says and carries on after seeing my confused face. "As in, not just texting or calling, that's very passive. Go to her."

"What, like, in real life?" I ask.

"No, in your dreams." he says and I laugh. "Yes, in real life. Go to her and show her you're sorry. Ask her out."

"That's a bit far." I say, chuckling nervously.

"It's Valentine's day next week." he says and I try to remember today's date. Shit, yeah, it is next week. "Ask her out for then. Arrange something nice, a nice restaurant or something more intimate like a dinner at your house. I think the dinner at your house would show you care more and really want to show her you're sorry. Get her a nice gift, even if it's just flowers, women love them. Do you know her favourite flowers?"

"White tulips." I say immediately and he smiles.

"Get her a bouquet of white tulips then." he says. "First go over to her place sometime before, maybe even today, talk it out. And I mean actually talk it out, don't explode on her," he chuckles and I shake my head, laughing, "and then ask her if she wants to come over on Valentine's day to your house."

"But wouldn't a nice restaurant be nicer?" I ask him.

"Whatever you feel comfortable with." he says. "Personally, I think that the at home idea shows you care a bit more and actually make the whole thing and plan it yourself and it's more intimate and private as well. But, they're both equally good."

"Okay, I'll do the at home one." I say and he smiles at me.

"Good choice." he says.

"Thank you, Frenkie." I say. "You've done it and helped me once again."

"You know I'm always here." he says, patting my shoulder.

"But, how are things between you and Mikky?" I ask and he smiles. "And obviously Miles."

"Amazing." he says. "They're both the best things that have ever happened to me. It's obviously a little difficult being first time parents, but we're getting there and I think we're doing really well as well."

"I bet you guys are amazing parents." I say. "Miles is really lucky to have you and Mikky as parents."

"I appreciate that." he smiles. "Do you think you'll ever have a family?"

I knew my answer right away.

"Definitely." I smile. "I have no doubt. I've always been a family guy. I want a daughter so bad."

"Ah, well, you can't pick." Frenkie laughs.

"But I don't care." I says. "As long as they're healthy then that's all that really matters. But having a girl would be nice."

"Wise words." he says and lookes at the grasstakers starting to gather. "We should probably go, come on."

He stretches out his hands for me to take and pulls me up. He pats my back as we walk back to the changing room, engaged in a conversation about our next game.

"You and Frenkie are becoming best friends." Ferran jokes as I walk up to him.

"He's really good at giving advice." I say, taking off my training vest.

"And I'm not?" he asks with fake hurt.

"He's the best, no one can beat him." I say. "You're good too."

"I'll take it." he shrugs. "Any plans for tonight?"

"Actually, yes." I say and he turns to me with raised eyebrows.

"Oh?" he asks, smirking.

"I want to go to Lara's." I say and he raises his eyebrows even more. "Frenkie told me to actually do something and not just be passive. He told me to go to her and I will do that. We'll talk and then I want to ask her out for Valentine's day."

"It's already Valentine's day soon?" he asks and I nod.

"Next Wednesday." I say.

"Where do you want to take her?" he asks me.

"I want to organise it myself." I say. "I'm gonna cook dinner and set up a nice table in the living room. I think it'll be nicer that way, Frenkie said that shows I put in more work."

"He really is good." he says and I nod, grinning.

"He is." I agree.

We all change and then leave the training centre to go our separate ways. As soon as I get home, I open the door and walk into the living room where Fer's sat on his phone.

"When is that trip with your friends?" I ask.

He looks up at me. "Hello, it's nice to see you too." he says sarcastically as I walk to the attached kitchen and pour myself a glass of water.

"My dear brother, it's been so long since I've seen you, almost a whole seven hours, God! How great it is to see you." I tease. "Now, tell me, when's the trip?"

"Someone's in a good mood?" he asks, smirking.

"When do you leave?" I ask again.

"On Monday." he says. "And I'm back on Friday evening."

Great. He's gonna be out of the house. It's like it was all meant to be this way.

"Okay, cool." I say.

"Why?" he asks, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Just curious." I shrug.

"Right, you're just curious so the first thing you say when you come back home is ask me when I'm leaving." he scoffs. "Either you really want me to leave or you have something planned. Probably with a girl if you want me gone."

"Fine." I sigh.

I tell him my plan and he smiles the whole way through me telling it to him.

"I think Frenkie is a genius and I love him with my whole heart. Remind me to give him the biggest hug the next time I see him." Fer says and I laugh.

"I think we all need to hug Frenkie."
