[LARA'S POV]

I saw a small shop as we were walking through the little village centre and decided to go in. It was our last day, we were flying out in a few hours and we had already woken up early to ski as the sun came up. To say the least it was so worth it, one of the most beautiful views of my life
Eventhough I knew Pedri and me are probably not on great terms right now, I still wanted to get him something from here in case we made up.
I had already gotten him his favourite chocolate, milk with hazelnuts, from apparently one of the best chocolatiers in Switzerland. According to people, it's one of the best chocolates and when I tried it at the place, I could definitely confirm that.
"I'm going in here. I'll catch up with you guys." I say and they nod before I walk away and go into the shop.
I look around at the jewellery, there's lots of beautiful pieces but one ring, a men's one, really catches my attention. I raise my eyebrows as I look at it. I've never seen a more beautiful men's ring in my life. It's silver band was so intricately designed that I can only imagine how long it must have taken to make.
I feel an older man come stand next to me, the one that was sat behind the counter as I walked in.
"Beautiful, no?" he asks me in English and I nod, smiling at him. "It's from one of the finest jewellery makers in Switzerland, the best quality jewellery you can get."
"How much?" I ask.
"Five hundred fifty euros but I can get it down to four hundred fifty if you want." he says and I think for a bit.
"Four hundred?" I ask, smiling sweetly and he chuckles.
"Four hundred and twenty five." he says. "That's the lowest I'll go."
It's definitely not cheap but it's for Pedri after all and I swear I really have never seen a more beautiful ring. He's been talking about wanting to get a silver ring recently and I know he'd simply love this one. It's almost exactly how he described his ideal ring.
"Okay, I'll take it." I say, gently tapping the glass case with my finger and the man smiles, nodding.
"Who's it for?" he asks as he open the glass case.
"Well, just a friend." I say and he looks at me unconvinced.
"I don't think friends spend this much on each other." he says, smiling knowingly.
"Well, it's a very special friend." I say as we walk over to the counter with the cash register.
"I see, very special then." he says as he puts the ring into a box. "Good choice, he'll love it."
"I hope so." I say, smiling as he takes out a little bag for the ring. "It's practically exactly how he described a ring he wanted."
I take out my purse and pass him the full price of the ring as he looks at me, confused. "I lowered it to four hundred and twenty five."
"Take it. Please." I say, smiling as I push the money further to him. "Thank you."
I take the little bag and walk out of the shop after smiling at the man one last time.
