"Friends?"

"Friends." Lara told Rosa as the two sat on the black-haired girl's bed.

"Oh." Rosa said, not sure what her best friend was feeling at that moment.

"It's better this way." she said. "We spoke after for a long time and closed the chapter. We've both moved on."

Except it seemed more like she was trying to tell herself that rather than Rosa.

"Ah, okay." Rosa said, looking at her best friend. "And how do you feel about that?"

"Good." Lara said, nodding. "I think it was the right thing."

Except Rosa knew her best friend, and the way she was fidgeting with the sleeve of her shirt gave away that she in fact didn't feel the way she said she did.

"Okay, if you feel that way." Rosa nodded at her best friend. "Let's go."

"Where?"

"To the beach." Rosa said, getting up. "Come on, I don't like seeing you sad."

"But it's January." Lara said. "And we're not in Tenerife."

Rosa laughed, taking her friends arms and pulling her up. "I don't care. I did this last year and it was so refreshing."

"But the water is going to be cold." Lara said.

"Well, we don't have to go in." Rosa said and laughed at Lara's face.

"And sit at the beach watching the water?" she asked. "Might as well sit in my bathroom and turn on the tap, watching it."

Rosa laughed as her best friend went to her closet.

"If I get sick, I'm blaming it on you." the black-haired girl said, taking out a swimming costume. "And, you're coming in as well. Lucky for you I still have your bikini from when you left it in my apartment in Tenerife."

"Seriously?" she asked.

"Yes, very seriously." Lara said.

"Fuck!" Rosa exclaimed as she got into the water.

Lara laughed as she ran in after her, immediately submerging herself.

"How do you just do that?" she asked Lara, who just laughed at her.

"Come on, it's not that cold." Lara said. "The sun's shining."

"They lied to you. The sun does nothing." Rosa said as she slowly walked deeper into the sea. "I hate myself."

Lara laughed at her best friend's dramaticism as she swam further into the sea, the sun slowly setting.

It did make her feel better.

"Okay, then it's closed?" Ferran asked, unsure of what his friend was feeling.

Pedri has always spoken to Ferran about problems like these. The latter being older meant he had more experience and was always really good at giving him advice about relationships, after all Ferran himself was in a very serious only six months ago.

Pedri nodded. "Just friends."

"Okay, then let's go out." Ferran said, excitedly. "You need to meet new girls, come on."
