LARA'S POV

𑁍᪥𑁍᪥𑁍

I look at the dress I had on and then put on my earrings. I turn to Pedri, who walks into the closet.

"I'm not gonna wait for you." I say when I see he's still dressed in the clothes he had on during the day.

"I'm here to change so you won't need to." he says and he walks up to me, putting his hands on my waist as he kisses me. "You look beautiful, as always."

"Thank you, I feel like this dress doesn't sit right though, no?" I ask as I turn to look at the mirror.

"I think it looks amazing on you." he smiles at me. "But if you don't feel the same then you should change, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable the whole evening. But, I think you're the most beautiful woman ever and the dress is perfect on you."

I smile and immediately feel better when I look in the mirror. If he says so, it must be true.

"And I think you're the most beautiful man ever." I turn to him as I put my hands on his shoulders.

He smirks. "It happens." he says and I roll my eyes, still smiling though.

He gets ready and I finish doing the same. We leave my apartment and go to his car as he drives us to Ferran's house.

I didn't like the fact that the route to his house was so familiar to me but I forget about it when Pedri's thumb on my thigh starts rubbing comforting circles on my skin.

That familiar driveway, that familiar front door, that familiar corridor.

Fuck, I really was stupid.

But I quickly forget about it when I'm enveloped in the loud music and the smell of alcohol in the air as the flashing lights almost blind me. Who knew Ferran even knew this many people? It seemed like the whole of Barcelona was at this party.

Gee, bro really went all out for his sixth birthday.

To be fair, it was his birthday yesterday and I had already given him his gift yesterday but that was a Thursday so he did his birthday party the day after which was Friday and also happened to be today.

"Happy sixth birthday, Fernando!" I say over the loud music as Ferran greets me and Pedri.

"I just love you, Larita." he says sarcastically, grinning. I feel Pedri's grip on my hand tighten slightly and I turn to him. He has a weird expression on his face but I just ignore it as it turns to a laugh when Ferran hugs him.

We join the others on the sofas and I immediately fall into a conversation with João. The younger one that is, I don't even think the older one is here.

"Pedri really wants to be me." he says and I laugh.

"You don't say?" I ask.

"I mean, getting back with your ex? Bro, literally my only personality trait." he says and I laugh, clapping my hands.

"At least I didn't cheat on him three times." I say and he shakes his head.

"I may be a little stupid, yeah." he says, taking a sip of his drink.

"Just a little?" I ask and he laughs.

"Maybe a bit more than a little." he says and we both laugh again.

"I'm glad you're aware, João." I say and he raises his eyebrows.

"You said it right." he points at me and I furrow my brows.
