I park my car and immediately smile when I see Fer standing by his car, looking down at his phone.

I get out, pulling my jean jacket over Pedri's football shirt tighter as I'm met with the cold mid-february breeze. I lock my car and he looks up a wide smile spreading across his face as I run up to him.

"I missed you, idiot." I say as he laughs at me, hugging me tightly.

"I'm glad to have you back." he says and we walk towards the entrance to the stadium together.

Me and Fer always had a really good friendship. Even before me and Pedri started dating, he was one of my brother's friends and I had met Pedri through him.

He always felt like he was my own brother, even though he wasn't. The way he cared for me and always started conversations with me when possible, made me fill with happiness. He really was like a second brother to me.

"I'm glad to be back." I say and he chuckles.

"He hasn't shut up about you, you know?" he tells me and I turn to him, seeing him smile. "Ever since I came back this morning it's been Lara this, Lara that. But I'm glad, I can tell he's better than ever right now and I'm confident in saying that it's all due to you."

"You can't deny that we make each other happy." I say as we go towards the pitch, already in the stadium.

"I'm too single for this." he says and I laugh, putting my arms around his shoulder, ruffling his hair.

"We'll find you a girlfriend." I say.

"Please." he nods his head at me.

I laugh as we go to our seat but not before walking through the crowd of people that were already there. The conversation flows as smoothly as ever between us. Even when me and Pedri were broken up, me and Fer still kept contact. We'd meet up each time he was back in Tenerife and it was as if me and Pedri had never even broken up, that's how close we were.

About twenty minutes before the game starts, I see the two teams walk out onto the pitch from the tunnel, starting their warm ups.

I see him, already in his kit with a vest on top. He smiles when he sees me and waves me over.

"Leaving me, okay." Fer says, a fake attitude dripping from his words and I smile at him, getting up.

I walk to the railing and Pedri walks up to me as well. "I love seeing you in my shirt, I've missed it."

"I couldn't not wear it, could I?" I asked as I turned around, moving my hair as I showed him the back of the shirt with his name above the number 8. I look back at him and see him grinning as I lean against the railing. "You better score."

"Seeing you in my shirt will motivate me even more." he smirks at me. The smile engraved in my mind at that point. It was only me and him, I didn't care at the people staring. Who cared when I was this close to him, his name on my back?

"Might just have to reward you if you score." I whisper, leaning forward towards his ear. When I back away, I see his eyes looking me up and down as he bites the inside of one of his cheeks. "Cat got your tongue?" I laugh and his eyes return to me.
