She turned around and saw him.
The man who'd never left her mind. Even after almost two years, not one day passed without her thinking of him.
He looked so good, especially under this low light.
"Pedri." she said, looking at him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"I live here now." she said, looking into his deep brown eyes that she missed so much.
"Oh." he said.
Seeing her was an absolute shock. The fact that she looked better than ever didn't help at all. He felt such a weird feeling; a weird warmth that he hadn't felt in years.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Well, I still live here." he said.
"No, I know that." she said, shaking her head at him. "I mean like here, in this club."
"Oh," he said. "I'm here with some teammates."
"Your water." the bartender passed her a glass with cold water and ice inside it.
"Thank you." she said, taking it from him. "I've got to get back."
"Wait," he placed his hand on her arm.
They couldn't ignore the electricity from the touch of their skin. It was like they were dating all over again, the spark reigniting more and more every time the clock ticked.
"Can we meet up?" he asked. "I think we have a lot of unfinished business that we should probably talk about."
She looked at him. She couldn't reject the proposal once she looked into his chocolate eyes, the ones she still to this day loves so much, the ones that she could stare at all the time as the sun sets and the sky blends to a dark blue colour until the sun rises again and the sky changes to a bright blue. "Yeah." she smiled slightly. "My number's still the same."
He smiled at her. "Okay, mine is too."
"I guess I'll see you soon, then?" she asked.
"Yeah." he nodded. "I'll text you."
She smiled one last time before heading back to the table.
The three were looking at her as Rosa almost fell asleep near them.
"Here." she passed Rosa her water. The younger one grabbed it and downed the whole glass almost immediately.
"That was Pedri!" Gabi exclaimed, drunkily. "You - you just talked to Pedri, what - "
"That's insane." Carlos slurred. "How are you not freaking out?"
"He touched you." Gabi said, looking at Lara's arm.
Lara laughed, looking at Lorenzo who was also laughing. "I take it back, I guess not everyone knows."
"Apparently not." Lorenzo said.
"We dated." Lara said.
"You and Pedri?" Gabi asked.
"When?" Carlos asked. "I'm sorry, I'm too drunk for this."
"A while ago." she said. "Back when he lived in Tenerife, and for about a year once he moved here."
"That is crazy." Gabi asked, shaking her head. "I knew he had a girlfriend when he transferred but I had no idea it was you."
"You saw Pedri?" Rosa exclaimed.
"I think we're gonna go." Lara said, helping her friend get up.
"No, I don't want to go yet." Rosa complained. "You saw Pedri? I don't want to go, wait!"
