How long has it been since he arrived here?
His maroon eyes slowly opened as he was faced with the dark blue sky, the stars beaming so brightly. His fingers stretched out as the thoughts of his time in heaven from earth counted past his eyes.
He’s been here for over 400 years.
Yoriichi sighed and sat up from a sakura tree, before getting his nichirin blade back into his scabbard. There was no need for him to continue carrying his katana since he was already dead.
It was boring.
He had no one to talk to, drink with, and share their human lives with. His brother whom he wanted to share more memories with had betrayed him and now… he was never going to arrive here since he was a demon now.
What else is there to wait for?
A floating image of a cloud passing by caught his eyes, and he peeked up from his position. The cloud had lingered off, showing an opening of the world of living beneath him. Yoriichi sometimes would peek his head out of heaven, to spectate what was going after he died. Nothing seemed to catch his attention, as the Demon Slayer Corps still haven’t defeated Muzan and the talents of new swordsmen seems to have died off.
Maybe his brother was right about their generation being the only greatest one to have ever existed. With another sad sigh, Yoriichi peeked his head out of the opening of the cloud and bent down to see what was going on.
In the middle of a town, a girl with (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and was wearing a (f/c) kimono along with a white nichirin blade, was casually cutting demons’ heads, her face so emotionless.
She moved with such grace and skill that Yoriichi couldn’t believe it. He quickly put his hands into circles and placed them before his eyes, so he could further observe her. She was untouched and unharmed, as she finally twirled and sliced the final demon’s head off.
She stood in the middle of the village, as the villagers slowly came out of their homes as the haunting night was finally over.
“(Name)-san!”
Yoriichi’s eyes caught sight of a little girl running towards her with a man, possibly her older brother, while (name) stared at them with bored eyes.
Her name was cute.
“Can I have your autograph, (name)-san? I want to cherish this moment!” the little girl shoved a piece of paper in front of (name).
“T-thank you for saving us, (name). I didn’t think you were going to after you beated me up.” the man said shyly and Yoriichi wanted to roll his eyes.
No way someone as powerful as (name) would want to date this thing.
“Whatever.” (name) mumbled, slapping the paper onto the girl’s face, before pulling the man down to her, making him blush.
“But you owe me, little boy.” she purred, making the man splutter with a red face.
Blood was rushing down from Yoriichi’s nose as his heart was racing.
“She wrote a bad word!” the little girl pointed at (name).
“I write what I feel.” (name) snapped, before fixing her braided hair.
“O-oh…” the brother trailed off, staring at the words, “fucking brat” on the paper, “what do you want as a thanks, (name)?”
“Food.” she said simply, and dragged herself to the most expensive restaurant in the village, making the brother and sister gape as they were kind of broke right now.
