Douma's feet barely made a sound as he trodded through the grass, his lips pursed in a dainty pout. "How unfair!" he cried, stomping his heel. "Kokushibo is conquering the sun with (name)-chan and I’m stuck here with this stupid, stuffy mansion!"

Douma's delicate stride turned into a lumbering jog, then a full-on run, as his anger and jealousy grew into a fever pitch. "I will not be left behind by (name)-chan!” he determined, his heart racing in his chest.

Douma's subconscious drive that kept him from devouring humans was deeply buried in his mind, but it was powerful. He had not eaten a single human since he was taken back by Muzan, a strange loyalty to (name) that he couldn't quite understand.

He was driven, his eyes fixed on the horizon as he raced through the fields, his feet eating the distance as he knew he would return to (name) soon enough.

Kokushibo basked in the warmth of the sun, his body finally getting a break from decades spent in the night. He sat under a tree, his back resting against it as (name)'s back did the same against his. The sun's rays filtered through the foliage, casting a delicate patterned shadow over them.

"Are you happy that you were able to conquer the sun, Koku?" (name) asked, her voice soft and barely heard if he hadn't taken the time to listen.

Kokushibo gave a simple nod. "Of course I am..." he murmured. "I managed to do something that no other demon.....except that child, has done."

He watched the clouds drift across the sky, his gaze wandering lazily. "That cloud....looks like a flower," he muttered.

"No, it looks more like a small penis," (name) interjected with a soft but clearly audible chuckle.

Despite their simple exchange, there was a comfortable understanding between the two. They appreciated the moments of peace that they shared, even if the larger threats looming on the horizon seemed to be ever-present.

"You laughed..." he mumbled.

"Yes, and?" she scoffed.

"Nothing, just...I haven't heard you laugh when sober or when you're not being sadistic..."

"It is a...rare treat to see you express joy," Kokushibo commented, a ghost of a smile reaching his lips.

The woman shot him a pointed glare, but he felt none of the fear that he was accustomed to. Instead, he felt a warmth settling in his chest, and he rested his hand on her head.

"You give me head pats, and now it's my turn to return the favor," he said, his tone light and playful as he ruffled her hair.

The woman scowled, but there was an unmistakable glint of enjoyment in her eyes. She reached up and gave him a brief head pat in return, her fingers brushing lightly through his hair.

The moment was interrupted by the arrival of Nezuko, who sat down next to the couple with a smile. "Good morning," she greeted them. Kokushibo avoided her gaze, his mood souring as he thought of her past betrayal.

"You conquered the sun, too, didn't you?" (name) asked Nezuko, patting her on the head. The demon giggled in response, her small fangs showing as she beamed up at Kokushibo.

"C-cockushit!" she said, her voice a mixture of glee and pride.

The silence that followed was palpable as Kokushibo's aura darkened. He gave her a glare, clearly exasperated by her childish behavior.
