"Ms. Farhana, the Chairman has called Ms. Faiza Amani to his office," the peon informed upon arriving.

"Faiza Amani is not here today," Ms. Farhana replied, and the peon left to inform the Chairman.

Faiza's absence from college was bothering Fardan greatly. He wanted to meet her and get her answer. Even if she rejected him, it wouldn't matter much because he could easily persuade her to marry him, but where was she? He thought visiting her home might be the best option and asked his aunt and sister to send a marriage proposal to Faiza's house. He wanted to send the proposal after knowing her feelings, but he couldn't wait any longer. He wanted to get married as soon as possible and move on with his life. In the evening, Ayesha and the principal went to Faiza's house with the marriage proposal.

"Who are you? Do we know you?" Faiza's aunt asked as she invited Ayesha and her aunt inside.

"I am the principal of Faiza's college, and this is the vice-principal. But we are here not for college matters, but for a personal issue," the principal explained.

"A personal issue? Has Faiza done something wrong?" Faiza's aunt couldn't understand what they meant.

"Has Faiza made a mistake?" Faiza's uncle asked.

"Why are you worried? Faiza hasn't done anything wrong. She is a very good and decent girl. Can we see Faiza? Can you call her here?" the principal asked.

At the aunt's call, Faiza appeared before them, and her condition left the principal and Ayesha in shock. She looked extremely weak and sick. Her face was pale, and her eyes were red and swollen from crying. The marks from yesterday's beating were clearly visible. She stood in a corner with her head bowed, trembling. She didn't have the strength to look at them. She was exhausted with life. She had always heard harsh words, and beaten every day, but nowadays being called a woman of bad character by her aunt had shattered her last bit of dignity. She hadn't done anything wrong, but no one believed her.

"Faiza, are you sick?" the principal asked. Seeing Faiza in this state brought tears to Ayesha's eyes.

The aunt quickly responded, "Yes, she felt dizzy due to study stress and fell down the stairs. That's why she's in this condition. I always tell her to take care of herself, but she never listens." Ayesha could see clearly that something was wrong and became even more concerned for Faiza.

"Actually, we are here with a marriage proposal for Faiza. We really like her and want her to marry my nephew, Fardan. You must know Fardan, the owner of Shehriyaar Industries and the chairman of our college," the principal said in one breath and waited for a response.

"Marriage? We want to marry Faiza to our son Shafiq," the uncle said.

The aunt glared at him and said, "No, no, he says anything. That was just a childhood joke. Our Shafiq's marriage is already fixed with Arshiya. We have no objection to this proposal. We have heard about Shehriyaar Industries and it must be good if you are saying so. We were already looking for a proposal for Faiza. We are very happy with this proposal. When do you want to get them married?"

"We wish to have the wedding this week. But I want to know Faiza's opinion before proceeding," Ayesha said, moving towards Faiza. For some reason, Ayesha felt a deep connection with Faiza. Since the first time she saw Faiza in college, she wanted to know her and be friends with her, and now she was going to be her sister-in-law. She was very happy about it but wanted everything to happen with Faiza's consent.

Faiza listened to everything while standing in the corner but couldn't understand what to do. She didn't want to marry so soon. She didn't want to marry at all because she knew very well what marriage would lead to. She didn't want to suffer humiliation and torture like her mother. She wanted to build her career and earn a lot of money to prove her father wrong. But who would listen to her?

"Tell me, Faiza, do you accept this proposal? If you need time, you can take it. If you want to spend some time with my brother before deciding, I can arrange that. And if you don't like this proposal, it's okay; you can refuse," Ayesha said, standing close to Faiza.

Faiza was about to say something when her aunt interrupted, "Dear, there's nothing like that. Why would she refuse? Faiza has wanted to get married for a long time. She is so eager to get married that if you ask her to marry a random person on the street, she would agree. I know her answer is yes. You should start the wedding preparations."

"Faiza, if you have any objections, you can tell me. If you don't want this marriage, it will never happen," Ayesha said, holding Faiza's arm lovingly.

"She has no objections; she just got a bit shy. I'm telling you, why don't you believe me?" The aunt said, trying to hide her anger.

"I just want to hear a yes or no from Faiza," Ayesha said, ignoring the aunt.

Faiza looked at her uncle, who was sitting with his head in his hands, staring at her aunt in deep thought. When she looked at her aunt, she signaled with her eyes to say yes. Tears welled up in Faiza's eyes. She wondered if she was really so bad that everyone wanted to get rid of her. Didn't anyone want to keep her close for life? First her father, then her mother, and now her uncle and aunt. She wiped her tears quickly.

Then, looking at Ayesha, she said, "Whatever my uncle and aunt decide will be my decision too."

Ayesha replied, "I don't want my brother to marry your uncle and aunt. I want to know your opinion."

The aunt quickly came to Faiza and said, "We have always made Faiza's decisions, so we will decide this time too."

"Aunty, I am not denying your authority. By all means, make the decision, but I want to know Faiza's opinion too," Ayesha said, looking at Faiza.

The aunt tightly held Faiza's hand and asked, "You agree to this proposal, don't you?"

"W...well, aunty," Faiza was about to say something when her aunt tightened her grip, causing Faiza pain, and she realized she had no place in this house anymore.

"Yes, I have no objections," Faiza said and ran to her room.

The aunt smiled to herself. Ayesha and the principal were also very happy with this. The uncle didn't know what to do.

Ayesha and the principal wanted the wedding to happen as soon as possible, so they started discussing the date and other details.

Faiza cried her heart out in her room. She held a small gold bracelet her mother had made for her in childhood. It had a picture of her mother in it. She kept looking at the picture and holding it close to her chest, crying. Yesterday, someone had forcefully taken her somewhere and proposed to her without waiting for her answer. Her uncle and aunt had beaten her severely and said awful things to her. Then she was admitted to the hospital. As soon as she returned home in the morning, her aunt's taunts began again. Her uncle also spoke harshly to her. Shafiq, her only ally, didn't believe her this time. Today, that person created a new spectacle by sending a marriage proposal. Remembering all this made her cry even more. A lot had happened to her in 24 hours, and the person responsible for all of it was Fardan Shehriyar.
