Fardan was sitting in his office, looking at something on his computer screen. He then dialed a number with a sad expression. The person on the other end answered after two rings.
"Assalamualaikum, Sir!" came the voice from the other side.
"Walekumassalam," Fardan replied seriously.
"Is there something you wanna ask me, Sir?" the person asked.
"Yes, Rumaisa, I wanted to know what happened to Faiza. She was in a good mood this morning, but after coming to college, what happened to her? She's not even paying attention in classes," Fardan asked with concern.
"Sir, I tried asking her during recess, but she didn't say anything, so I didn't press further. She said she was thinking about something and would share with me once she sorted it out," Rumaisa replied helplessly.
"Okay, if there's any problem, you remember what to do, right? My men are around the college!" Fardan reminded her.
"Yes, Sir, I am well aware of my job," Rumaisa said confidently.
"Good! Now go, or Faiza will start asking you questions because she’s looking for you!" Fardan said as he saw Faiza wandering in the corridor on his computer screen.
"Yes, Sir. Allah Hafiz!" Rumaisa said, and Fardan hung up without saying anything else.

"Madam, there's another bouquet and letter for you. What should I do with it?" the peon asked again.
"Throw it in the trash and get out of here. From now on, don't bring any more bouquets to me," Ayesha said angrily.
The peon threw the bouquet and letter into the trash bin kept in Ayesha's room and left.
"Why did I end up with this strange person? He doesn't understand anything," Ayesha muttered to herself.
"What happened, dear? Who upset you?" Phuppi (aunt) asked, entering the office with a smile.
"No, no, it's nothing, Phuppi. It's just... nothing," Ayesha said nervously.
"I came to have lunch with you. I'm really hungry," Phuppi said, sitting down and opening her tiffin.
Ayesha quickly cleared her table and took out her tiffin. She stood up to wash her hands when her phone rang. She saw it was another call from an unknown number. She couldn't talk to that person in front of Phuppi, so she cut the call and walked away.
When she returned after washing her hands, Phuppi said, "Someone keeps calling. It must be urgent."
"No, Phuppi, it's just a friend of mine who wants to meet, but I'm too busy with college work to meet her," Ayesha lied, bracing herself.
"College is only until 4 PM. You can meet her in the evening," Phuppi suggested.
"It's not that, Phuppi. Faiza will be alone at home, and brother is not at home either," Ayesha lied again.
"That's true. You can invite her over to your house," Phuppi suggested again.
"No, I just don't feel like meeting anyone right now," Ayesha ended the conversation, and Phuppi fell silent and started eating.
"By the way, Faiza's cooking is really delicious," Phuppi said, eating from Ayesha's tiffin.
"Yes, ever since she came, I have her do the cooking, and I take care of the other chores. Her food is so tasty that now I only crave her cooking," Ayesha said, enjoying her meal.
They continued eating and chatting, while Ayesha ignored her constantly ringing phone.

"So, Shamsher Sikander has connections with the mafia. He's known as Sher in the underworld. But I've never heard of him," Fardan said to Ahmed while sitting in his secret hideout.
"Yes, sir, this Shamsher Sikander is a strange guy. He's two years younger than you. He joined the mafia just a year ago but has made quite a name for himself. He was abroad until a year ago and came here only seven months ago," Ahmed provided more information.
"I need to meet this Sher. But you still haven't told me his father's name, nor shown me a picture of him," Fardan asked.
"Sir, that's the problem with this guy. We've tried finding information about him everywhere, but we can't find much. We found many pictures, but his face is hidden in all of them. He always wears a mask and keeps himself covered from head to toe," Ahmed said with embarrassment.
"So, all my men are looking for someone who just entered the underworld, and they haven't found anything useful yet?" Fardan asked angrily, placing his gun on Ahmed's head.
"S... Sir... It's not like that... We're trying our best..." Ahmed stammered with fear.
"I don't care about this Shamsher. I just want to know about his father. I need those land documents of baba as soon as possible," Fardan yelled angrily.
"Yes, sir, we'll do our best," Ahmed said, lowering his head.
"Ahmed, I don't want efforts; I want results. I need those land documents at any cost. Take as many men as you need, spend as much money as required, kill whoever needs to be killed, but if I don't have those documents by tomorrow evening, none of you will survive," Fardan shouted, firing his gun towards a man standing by the wall, who quickly moved aside, and the bullet hit the wall.
"Yes, boss, we'll do it," they all said in unison and left.
As soon as they left, Fardan took out his laptop and smiled at the sight of Faiza. She was making wierd faces during a lecture in class. All his anger dissipated, and he felt a sudden sense of calm.
"What kind of person are you, Faiza? You turn this beast into a human with your presence! Ever since you've been mine, I haven't killed anyone, fearing my enemies might hurt you in retaliation. I don't know why I love you so much!" Fardan said lovingly, touching Faiza's image on the screen.
