"Uhmmm uhmmm." Aunt cleared her throat, and Faiza and Fardan snapped out of their reverie.

Blushing, Faiza quickly ran away. Fardan smiled and looked at his aunt.

"What’s going on here, my dear?" she asked playfully.

"No, we were just..." Fardan's face turned red.

"Oh my child, you just hugged your wife. Why are you so shy?" Aunt teased him.

"Aunt, come with me, I need to talk to you." Before Fardan could respond, Ayesha pulled Aunt Azra into the room.

Fardan sighed with relief. Smiling to himself, he headed up to the terrace. Faiza was sitting on the swing there.

"So, you’re here?" he said, sitting beside her. She blushed even more.

"You look beautiful when you blush like that," Fardan said, making Faiza look at him in surprise.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing, it’s just... this side of you seems a bit strange," she replied.

"This side?" Fardan asked, puzzled.

"I've always seen you angry or very serious. This is the first time I’ve seen you joking and laughing," Faiza said with a smile.

"And you’re the first person who has seen Fardan Shehriyaar cry twice," he laughed.

"You look better when you smile," she smiled back, making him smile again.

"I’ll try to smile more," Fardan said.

"You said you’d do anything for me. Will you promise me one thing?" Faiza turned serious.

"Yes, my dear, command me," he said, bowing his head in front of her.

"Give up this quest for revenge and bloodshed. Let Allah be the judge. Forgive that man," she said timidly.

"Faiza, do you remember reciting a verse from Surah Al-Ma'idah to me repeatedly during Fajr?" Fardan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I remember." Faiza didn't know Fardan had understood it so quickly.

"Stay here. I’ll perform ablution and come back," Fardan said, heading downstairs with Faiza following him.

"Sit here." After performing ablution, Fardan made Faiza sit on the sofa.

"You recited a verse from Surah Al-Ma'idah, and now I'll recite one from Surah Al-Baqarah."

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:178):

(Imagine he reads the verse in Arabic and then translates it.)

Translation:

"O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered – the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment."

Fardan recited the verse without opening the Quran, and Faiza looked at him in amazement.

"Should I bring the Quran?" Faiza hesitantly asked.

"Yes, you can verify it," Fardan said with a smile.

When she brought the Quran, Fardan repeated the verse. Faiza was astonished.
