3 Months Later:

Fardan was disheartened after searching for Faiza everywhere. She was nowhere to be found. He spent his time in the office, staring at her pictures, sometimes even talking to them like a madman. He had donated a lot of money, praying for her safety wherever she might be. His condition was deteriorating day by day. His beard had grown long, his complexion had darkened, and he had lost a lot of weight. He had lost interest in eating, drinking, and even sleeping, but he never missed a single prayer. His mother had instilled the habit in him from childhood: no matter how bad things got, never abandon your prayers. She would tell him that the remedy for every sorrow and pain lies only with Allah, and that one should maintain a connection with Allah through prayer. He would cry and pray for Faiza’s return.

After three months, Fardan still held onto the hope that Faiza would come back. His obsession with Faiza was beyond anyone’s comprehension. The memories of the five years he had spent loving her haunted him. When he first fell in love with her, he was too guilty to approach her, and it hurted him every moment. Now that Faiza knew everything, he was convinced she would never return to him, but he still clung to hope. His mind was constantly lost in thoughts. To keep his family from worrying, he pretended to stay busy with work, though it was mostly an act. He spent his days and nights in the office, pretending to read files or staring at Faiza’s pictures hidden among them.

Ayesha would try to force him to eat, and sometimes he would, but he never listened to anyone else. He had renovated his house, and in his free time, he would go there to sit and look at Faiza’s pictures.

Adil and Rumaisa had developed a good friendship. They were behaving more like friends than a married couple. Adil would bring her flowers every day and compliment her, making Rumaisa blush. When Rumaisa found out that Faiza had left home, she too made many attempts to find her but failed each time.

Fardan had forgiven all his enemies at Faiza’s request, and because of that, he had assigned all his men to different jobs. Most of the office work was handled by Adil and Aqeel, while Fardan focused on overseeing the colleges which were handled mostly by Ahmed. Ahmed hadn’t left Fardan’s side; he stayed with him like a shadow, always ready to help with whatever Fardan needed.

Rumaisa, besides her studies, was also working. When Fardan stopped his illegal activities, Rumaisa opened a school for girls where she and her team taught them self-defense.

Fardan had no contact with Faiza’s relatives anymore. They had all moved on with their lives. Fardan hardly even thought about his own family; his mind was solely focused on finding Faiza because he couldn’t imagine living without her. For him, Faiza had become the only person in the world that mattered.

"How many times have I told you, Saif? Stay at home. You haven’t fully recovered yet," Furqaan scolded him.

Even though Saif had lost his memory, he still loved photography. Since his recovery, he would look at his old pictures and try to replicate them, but he couldn’t take pictures as good as before. Without telling anyone, he would wander off into the forest to take photos and get scolded by his father every day.

Furqaan was terrified that something might happen to his son again, so he started staying with him all the time. Furqaan still believed that Fardan was responsible for Saif’s accident, so he repeatedly tried to remind Saif about it, but Saif couldn’t remember anything. He had started to recall many things, but everything was still hazy in his mind.

"Dad, why are you so worried? No one’s going to kill me," Saif joked, but Furqaan’s mind was racing with thoughts.

"You don’t understand, son. We have many enemies," Furqaan said.

"What kind of enemies?" Saif asked.

"I told you, son, your mother is no longer in this world. Those people killed your mother, and now they’re after you. They’re the ones who caused your accident, son." Saif’s condition had improved significantly, so Furqaan told him everything.

"But why do they want to kill us?" Saif asked.

"I don’t know, son," Furqaan replied.

"Who are these people? Why don’t you file a complaint against them with the police?" Saif asked again.

"Because they are very wealthy. Wealthy people always have politics in their pockets. The police can’t do anything to them, son," Furqaan explained.

"But dad, I’m a lawyer, aren’t I? I’ll take them to court. Just give me the evidence," Saif said.

"No, son, it’s not that easy," Furqaan replied dejectedly.

"Alright, dad," Saif walked away silently.

Ayesha had tried calling Saif many times, but his phone was always switched off. Once, someone did pick up, but they told her Saif was ill and hung up. She was worried about her sister-in-law and Saif. If Fardan were in a better state, Saif would have been found in no time, but since Fardan’s condition had worsened, Ayesha didn’t know what to do.

'Ocean Blue Eyes

Looking In Mine

I Feel Like I Might

Sink And Drown

And Die

You're So Gorgeous

I Can't Say Anything To Your Face
(To Your Face)

Cause look at your face
(Look at your face, gorgeous)

And I'm so furious

At you for making me feel this way (Feel this way)

But what can I say?

You're gorgeous.'

Ayesha was listening to the song and humming along when Saif's blue eyes came to her mind. She was sitting on her bed, thinking of him, when her phone started ringing.

The song paused, so she looked at her phone and picked it up. There were message notifications. She started looking at her phone with great surprise and happiness.

"Kareem Uncle, I want to know everything about my dad’s enemies. Who are they, and what have they done?" Saif was sitting in his room, talking to Kareem.

Furqaan had gone out for some work, so Saif took the opportunity to call Kareem over.

"Your dad’s biggest enemy is Fardan Shehriyaar. Because of his father, Wajdan Shehriyaar, your mother died. I don’t know what he did, but this enmity has been going on for years. He has attacked your dad many times," Kareem explained.

"Where can I find this Fardan Shehriyaar? I need to know everything about him," Saif said, deep in thought.

"He’s usually at his office. I’ll bring you all the information about him by evening," Kareem said as he left.
