A Morning Of Surprises

When Faiza woke up in the morning, she was surprised to see Fardan. He was sleeping peacefully, holding her in his arms. For the first time, Faiza had slept so deeply that she woke up at 8 AM instead of her usual dawn. This was the second time she saw Fardan so close. His face looked very calm, like a sleeping child, and Faiza couldn't stop looking at him. Suddenly, she regained her senses and gently moved away from him, getting up quietly.

"Di, he's still sleeping. Won't we call him for breakfast?" Faiza asked Ayesha, who was sitting down to eat.

"What?? Who's sleeping?" Ayesha asked in surprise.

"Your brother," Faiza replied.

"You mean my brother Fardan?" Ayesha asked again.

"Yes, di. How many brothers do you have?" Faiza couldn't understand Ayesha's astonishment.

"I can't believe my brother is still sleeping this late," Ayesha said, still in disbelief.

"Why are you so surprised, di? He's just sleeping," Faiza asked.

"You know brother has insomnia. If he sleeps for even two hours, that's a lot, and he can't sleep in the light at all. I don't know how he's sleeping today. Is he feeling unwell?" Ayesha wondered aloud and rushed towards Fardan's room. Faiza followed her. Fardan was still sleeping peacefully.

"Brother, are you alright?" Ayesha tried to wake Fardan.

"Yes, dear, what happened?" Fardan woke up and asked with concern upon hearing Ayesha's voice.

"Brother, do you have a fever?" Ayesha asked, placing her hand on his forehead.

"No, I'm perfectly fine. Why are you so worried?" Fardan asked, sitting her down next to him.

"It's 8:45 in the morning, and you were still sleeping, so I thought you might be unwell," Ayesha explained while Faiza stood by the door, listening to the siblings' conversation.

"What?? Did I sleep that long?" Fardan asked in surprise.

"Yes, brother, it seems your insomnia is cured with sister-in-law's arrival," Ayesha said, laughing, making Fardan look at Faiza, who lowered her gaze.

"Alright, that's great. Now freshen up and come downstairs. We're getting late for breakfast," Ayesha said and left the room.

Faiza was about to follow Ayesha when Fardan grabbed her hand, making her stop. Faiza's heart was racing, and she looked down without saying anything.

"Tell me, what's so interesting on the floor that you always look down?" Fardan teased.

"Nothing," Faiza replied.

"Can I hug you?" Fardan suddenly asked.

"I'm getting late for college," Faiza hesitated, ignoring his question.

"Alright, you can go," Fardan said, releasing her hand.

Faiza ran out without saying anything, making Fardan laugh. Her shyness and fear made him fall more in love with her.

Since Fardan was busy, Adil dropped Ayesha and Faiza at college with their aunt. Fardan didn't have breakfast with them and was occupied with his work.

*Ahmed, is the work done?* Fardan called Ahmed, who worked under him.

*Boss, we found out that the man came to this country two days ago for some work,* Ahmed informed Fardan about the matter he had been waiting for years to resolve.
