*Assalamualaikum.* Someone greeted.
*Walekum assalam,* Rumaisa responded.
*We saw Faiza madam in the market of another city, sister,* she said.
*Alright Kulsum, you follow her and keep an eye on her. I will reach there shortly,* Rumaisa said happily to Kulsum, who worked in her team.
Rumaisa quickly dialed Adil's number and asked him to come home. Adil was sitting with Fardan, but when Rumaisa mentioned Faiza, he left without saying a word to Fardan.

"So, this is Fardan Shehriyaar," Saif said, looking at Fardan's picture. Kareem nodded in agreement.
"Who lives with him?" Saif asked.
"He has a sister and a wife. He lives with his aunt and uncle, who has a son," Kareem replied.
"And his parents?" Saif asked.
"They're no longer in this world," Kareem informed.
"I think there has been some misunderstanding. I want to meet and talk with them. Tell me, where can I find Fardan?" Saif inquired.
"I found out he's not at his office or home. You can't meet him right now," Kareem lied.
"Then let's meet his family. I want to talk to them," Saif said.
"But we haven’t told Sir Furqaan anything yet," Kareem hesitated.
"Don't tell Dad anything. I'll go to their house and meet them myself," Saif said while looking at Fardan's address in his file and left.
"But Sir..." Kareem started to say something but stopped, then quickly dialed Furqaan's number.
*Speak, Kareem,* Furqaan answered the call.
*Sir Saif asked for Fardan's file. When I gave it to him, he left to go to his house to make peace,* Kareem said nervously.
*Have you lost your mind, Kareem? Why did you tell him about Fardan? You know how disastrous the consequences could be,* Furqaan shouted in anger.
*Sorry, Sir. He was very insistent, so I gave him the details,* Kareem replied in fear.
*You reach Fardan’s house before Saif and capture his family. Bring them to our basement,* Furqaan ordered, and Kareem took his men and headed towards Fardan’s aunt’s house.

"Who is it? Why are you ringing the bell repeatedly?" Fardan irritatedly opened the door and asked.
"Saif, is that you?" Fardan asked upon seeing him.
The file Kareem had given Saif was quite old. It had details from before Fardan’s marriage, which is why the address listed in it was his house, where he was currently present.
"Do you know me, Fardan?" Saif asked. He had a hard time recognizing Fardan because his condition was quite poor.
"Yes, very well. You wanted to marry my sister, didn’t you?" Fardan said, and Saif was shocked.
"We’re enemies, so why this marriage?" Saif asked in surprise.
"Enemies? What enmity do we have?" Fardan was equally confused by Saif’s words.
"You have enmity with my father, that’s why you're trying to kill me," Saif said, shocking Fardan.
"What enmity would I have with your father? Who is your father?" Fardan asked.
"I don't know what the enmity is. That’s why I came to ask you. My father is Furqaan Ahmed Sikander," Saif revealed, shocking Fardan for a moment. He steadied himself and went to sit on the couch.
Saif followed him, closing the door and sitting on the couch as well.
"You’re Furqaan’s son?" Fardan couldn’t believe it and asked.
"Yes, but what enmity do you have with my father? Why did you people kill my mother?" Saif asked, trying to control his emotions.
"I killed your mother? Your father killed my parents," Fardan said, feeling a series of shocks.
"My father can’t kill anyone," Saif said angrily.
"I didn’t kill your mother, and your father is lying to you," Fardan, already troubled, struggled to control his anger.
"You’re accusing my father falsely to save yourself," Saif was still unwilling to believe that his father could be a murderer.
"How long ago was your mother killed?" Fardan asked.
"22 years ago," Saif replied.
"I was 6 years old then. Do you think a 6-year-old boy killed your mother?" Fardan asked, causing Saif to pause in thought.
"Your father is my parents’ killer, and I don't know why he’s lying to you. I don't know why you came here. I have nothing to do with you. I’ve only been talking to you for so long because you used to work for me and are related to my wife," Fardan said.
"How am I related to your wife?" Saif asked, confused.
"Stepbrother," Fardan replied.
"What do you mean?" Saif was startled.
"I mean your father has hidden this from you as well. I forgave him on my wife's request, so we have no connection. You should go ask everything from your father," Fardan said and went upstairs.
"My dad’s daughter? Dad has remarried?" Saif was extremely shocked.

When Kareem arrived, there was no one home except Ayesha. Adil and Rumaisa had gone out searching for Faiza. Azra had gone to visit a friend. Aqeel was busy with some work at the office. Ayesha had been crying so much that her condition had worsened. After being repeatedly rejected by Saif, she was heartbroken. She had cried herself to sleep on the couch. Kareem quietly placed a chloroform cloth over her mouth. She was in a deep sleep and was soon unconscious.
Kareem, with the help of his men, took her to Furqaan, who was waiting for them in the basement.
"Sir, she was the only one at home," Kareem said as he tied Ayesha to a chair.
"So finally, I’ve met you, Ayesha," Furqaan smiled as he looked at her.
"Kareem, call her brother and tell him that if he says anything to Saif, his sister won’t survive," Furqaan ordered.
Kareem kept dialing Fardan's number, but he wasn’t answering.
After trying again, Fardan finally answered, and Kareem handed the phone to Furqaan.
*This is Furqaan Ahmed Sikander speaking.*
*If you want your sister to remain safe, don't say anything to my son, or I will end her right here. She’s in my custody,* Furqaan warned and then hung up the phone.
Saif was shocked beyond belief. Fardan had left his phone downstairs and gone upstairs. Despite the phone ringing repeatedly, he didn’t come down, so Saif picked it up. When he saw Kareem’s number, he answered, and after hearing Furqaan’s words, the ground beneath him seemed to vanish.
Saif quickly left and rushed towards his house. He searched for Ayesha everywhere, in every place he thought Furqaan might have kept her, but Ayesha was nowhere to be found.
"Dad, why are you doing all this?" He kept asking himself as he repeatedly called Furqaan, but his phone kept going off.
Then something came to his mind, and he got on his bike and sped off somewhere.
