My lips touch his softly...almost hesitantly.
I angle my head slightly....his hands tighten on my waist-
And then he's gone.
I gasp, at the emptiness. The absence of his warmth. The coldness.
"You don't know what you're doing, my little siren." He says in a low voice.
My heart skips a beat at the look in his eyes.
Raw desire, swirling in the dark depths.
The pull is instantaneous.
But he doesn't act on it.
I'd never thought that I would want to...or even get the chance to be this close to professor freaking Langdon. The man of every MU girl's dreams.
Presently he stares at me with a dark glint in his eyes.
I try to slow down my breathing, but the moment my eyes land on him, my breathing quickens once again.
Then he simply turns around and leaves.
That seems to snatch me away from my daze.
Wait, what. The. Hell. Was. I. Doing.
Kissing professor Langdon?
Seriously?
One. Freaking taste? Are you for real, Ellora?
I groan as my face heats up.
Everytime before today- which is twice, professor Langdon has been the one to initiate anything intimate. Both those times have been for blackmailing me...so they don't really count- yes Ellora, keep lying to yourself.
But today if the kiss happened it would fully be on me.
I look down at my fingers.
Marshall's ring feels heavy.
I was just about to kiss my professor, wearing another man's ring on my finger.
How on earth did my life change so drastically.
~
I stare at the problem infront of me.
I have no clue how to solve this shit. Where does he even get these questions from? Half of these look like they cannot have any possible answer.
I turn the sheet around to look at the sixteen more questions professor Langdon had given me to solve this morning before going out. I have been sitting here on the floor of his bedroom for the past three hours straight. And I've managed to do three of the questions, after going through five books. Currently struggling with the fourth question- which I doubt is even solvable.
Who am I kidding? Professor Langdon would probably solve this in a heartbeat.
I groan in frustration as I slam those papers back on the ground, and lean back to lie on the ground.
Who on Earth even kidnaps a person and makes them solve physics problems?
I'd much rather prefer being cuffed and left in a basement to these stupid problems.
I immediately cringe at that thought.
I need coffee in my system.
Twenty minutes later, I find myself staring at the books I had burrowed from the stack beside his bed and his library, sipping from an iced Latte in my hand. Iced coffee is a privilege for people like me who live in places where there's snow half the year round. The temperature being a little warmer today, I've allowed myself a cropped tank top and this iced Latte. Heaven.
