E L L O R A

I have an insane urge to walk up to him, and just be with him. After everything that's happened, I need a familiar presence. Someone who can help me, someone who can tell me it will get better. Someone. Anyone.

I take a step towards him, but pause when I remember Mr. Langdon's words. Whatever you do, remember Ethan.

Of course the bastard was refereing to the live location of Ethan that he has on him every minute. If I tell Mr. Blackwood a single word about the real truth of why and how I'm here, the son-of-a bachelor is going to harm my brother.

I don't dare take another step forward.

"Ellora." Mr. Blackwood says, his electric blue eyes filling with concern.

"Mr. Blackwood." my voice comes out as a hoarse whisper.

"Call me Marshall. Heard you were suspended from classes," his eyes flicker to Mr. Langdon, his jaw tightening momentarily, before they land back on me again softening, "You're no more my student. You are now just my fiance. So its Marshall for you. How are you, Ellora?"

I can feel Mr. Langdon's eyes burning holes at the side of my face. I don't give him a glance.

"I'm fine...er, Marshall. Thank you for asking." I say honestly, the second part, not the first.

"Ethan showed me your text last night. Where you told him you'll be staying here overnight, and come today morning to collect your stuff before going to the trip. I came over to pick you up, Ellora."

I peek a glance at Mr. Langdon from my periphery. His hands buried deep inside his pockets, his face taut, he is staring somewhere at the distant wall with an empty look.

I look back at Marshall, smiling gratefully. Apart from the fact that he hasn't bothered to ask me even once if I want to marry him, he has been nothing but sweet and considerate, unlike the man standing beside me. And right now, I appreciate that more than anything.

He walks up to me, his arms raising, to hold my shoulders.

He never gets within a foot of me though.

Another body moves to stand infront of me, blocking my view of Marshall, and his touch off me.

"I cannot allow you to touch her Blackwood." The voice that comes out of Mr. Langdon, is as empty as Space.

"She is my fiance, Langdon. I can touch her whenever I want." Marshall points out in a cool voice.

That comment makes me frown.

"I understand. But right now, she is under my supervision. I will not allow another man, fiance or not, to touch my student. Atleast not in my presence."

"Fair enough." Marshall then looks behind him, where I am frozen to my spot. "Come, Ellora. Let's get out of his presence then."

"I will not allow that either." Mr. Langdon's deep voice says. "According to the rules, she is my responsibility until the trip ends. I am responsible for wherever she goes, whatever she does. If she has to go to her house to pick up her stuff, I will accompany her."
