"Get your ass out of bed!"
You groaned, eyes still glued shut, and rolled back over onto your stomach as they stood at the end of your bed.
It had been a little over a week since the board meeting or whatever you want to call that shit show and since Steve, along with a few others, were on a mission, you thought you could get away with just staying in bed pretty much the entire time. You had forgotten that Wanda and Tony stayed behind, but Stark didn't bother you too much, probably still afraid that you would bite his head off or something.
And none of them knew about you and Steve because neither of you wanted SHIELD in your business or to have it be a work bias situation.
Right now, you're ninety percent sure it's Wanda that's trying to pull the blanket off you, but you're still half asleep and not sure whose voice you really heard.
"You've been in bed for days and Tony's making waffles," So, it was definitely Wanda speaking since they noticed your absence, "Or at least attempting to."
"Not hungry." You grumbled, unable to stay in the safety of unconsciousness the longer she stayed.
She didn't respond, but you were naïve for thinking she'd give up, and soon enough she was coming to sit on the side of your bed nearest you.
"I'm worried." She admitted quietly and you cringed, knowing you would cave.
You took a deep breath and when you peaked out from under the comforter, you noticed she was focused on her phone. Her eyebrows were furrowed and when you went to ask what she was reading, you realized it wasn't hers.
"The hell, Wanda?" You scolded lightly, grabbing for it, and when she let you take it without a fight, you knew she saw something she shouldn't have.
"Steve's uh..." She trailed off, not facing you as she spoke and your eyes widened, "He's like my older brother and uh..."
"No, no, no, no, no!" You shook your head, getting out of bed quickly and throwing your phone on it, "It's not what you think."
"But you guys are texting like..." She gestured to the phone when she stood to face you with it in between, "Like you're...dating, to put it nicely."
"You make it sound like we're sexting!" You scrunched your face, waving your hands out.
"I'm suddenly not hungry for waffles," She frowned, and you deflated, "I'm gonna go tell Tony not to make so many."
She rounded your bed for the door, and you followed her out in shame, not knowing what to say.
"'m sorry." You mumbled when you were on the elevator.
"Sorry you didn't tell me, your best friend, or sorry you got caught?" She asked bluntly and you looked over at her with raised eyebrows and a soft smirk.
"Best friends?"
"I mean, yeah," She shrugged, looking away shyly, "I thought so."
"I've never had a best friend before," You swayed back and forth on your heels, linking your hands behind your back, "...Have you?"
"Not really," She shook her head with a frown, "But I know friends don't keep things like this from each other."
"We kissed in Philadelphia."
She turned to you, gaping openly with her jaw practically on the floor, and when you winced, chancing a glance over at her, you noticed she was smiling.
"You WHAT?" She shouted just as the elevator dinged open and Bucky was standing there with a smile that grew when he saw you both.
A second later he saw Wanda's reaction that barely changed and cleared his throat, getting on.
