After a few hours of continuous weeping, Jimin calmed down. The pregnant omega stared at Luna with pleading eyes. "C-can you just stay inside Tae's body even if Jungkook doesn't choose you? I can't lose my best friend, Tae is too young to die."

Luna gazed at him with solemn eyes. "Can you endure it, watching your mate with someone else? Can you bear it, seeing Yoongi start a life and have pups with someone that's not you? If your answer is 'yes' then I will stay here and watch Jungkook shred my heart to pieces and mercilessly stomp on it." Luna chuckled bitterly. "If ordinary wolves like you feel the excruciating pain of losing your mates, same goes for me, the only difference is that my pain is a million times more intense than yours. I would rather die than to witness Jungkook give his heart to another wolf, but the irony of it is-I can't die because I'm immortal. Selene had many lovers, but I only have one, that's why I can't lose him, not to any wolf nor to the curse inflicted on him by the dark witch."

Jimin didn't argue anymore. How can he refute Luna? He would rather die too, than see Yoongi with someone else. Jimin shivered, just the thought of it makes his inside churn, it makes him want to wreak havoc on whoever will take his mate away.

Luna nodded at Jimin, knowing that the latter finally got her point. "I see, you understand me now."

Yoongi was staring wide-eyed at Luna. "Wait, if you're an immortal, then you must be one of the go..."

"You're right, I am-because of Selene." Luna answered Yoongi before he could finish his query.

"Is your lover also immortal like you?" Yoongi curiously asked again.

"No, he's human. The most handsome human that ever lived. No one can match his beauty that even the gods envy him. You have seen Jungkook, right? He has my lover's essence, making him insanely handsome and hot despite his dormant wolf." Luna giggled, acting like a lovestruck teenager very far from her ruthless self who wiped out the rogues in a snap.

Jimin peered at Luna with creased brows. "You said that Jungkook's wolf was cursed using your lover's essence when he was born, does that mean he has another mate too?"

Luna froze in place, her purple orbs darkened as she forcefully gripped the edge of the table, cracking it. "He has, it's that bitch Yunhee."

Jimin let out a loud gasp. Yunhee has been bullying Taehyung since they were kids. He has also noticed how Jungkook is smitten by her. The ravenette has been hounding Yunhee for years. "So that's the reason Jungkook has been pinning on Yunhee, though his wolf is dormant, he unconsciously feels their connection because they are mates." Jimin concluded.

Luna nodded in confirmation. "Yes, but Yunhee looks down on him. She is ambitious. She wants to be the next luna of the Obsidian Pack and she knows Jungkook will never be the head alpha. She wants to reject him, but it isn't possible since it's Jungkook's wolf that should receive the rejection."

"Can you just make Jungkook hate her and love you instead?" Jimin asked with hopeful eyes.

Luna chuckled lightly and shook her head. "That's not how it works. Jungkook and his wolf should despise Yunhee on their own. His wolf should reject Yunhee on its own, then accept me and Taehyung."

"But how? His wolf is dormant, how can it reject Yunhee? Do you know how to wake up his wolf or does the moon goddess know?" Yoongi chimed in.

"We don't know. The dark witch tied the curse to her own life, making it hard to discern what would break it. That witch must have owed the one who ordered her to curse Jungkook big time, for her to put her own life on the line. I can't kill that witch either because if I do that, the curse will never be broken and Jungkook's wolf will remain in slumber forever. I will now give the control back to Taehyung. Please stay and support him like you always do. He only has you-his own family doesn't care about him. As for me, as long as I'm his wolf, I will protect him." Taehyung's purple orbs switched back to hazel. The younger omega's eyes were already brimming with tears.
