It is the night of the engagement party. Many of the pack members have arrived at the main hall where the ceremony will be held. The venue is exuberantly decorated with beautiful flowers and exquisite chandeliers. The tables and chairs are elegantly draped with the finest and expensive cloth. The dishes to be served are cooked to perfection by the pack's best chefs. Wines and other beverages were handpicked by Hira. In front of the hall, a stage is set up where the pair to be engaged will exchange rings. The table and seats for the head alpha and his Luna are situated in front near the stage. Hira made sure that the party will be the grandest the pack will ever experience aside from the wedding.

The right side of the hall are the tables dedicated for Kihyun and Yunhee's guests while the left side tables are for Jungkook and Taehyung's guests. Most of the pack members are seated on the right side as Kihyun and Yunhee are very popular and because most of them are bootlickers who want to gain favor from who they thought would be the next head alpha.

Taekook's side is occupied by their friends. Hoseok, Namjin and Yoonmin couples. And no one could blame Hoseok if he feels like third-wheeling to these couples. He wishes Wooshik is here-wait, why is he thinking about him? He innerly chastises himself. He fails to notice a viper that coils around a branch of a nearby tree observing the gathering and particularly has its green slitted eyes pinned on him. Wooshik wants to join them so Hoseok won't feel left out but the curse is making it impossible for him to do so.

Jimin darts his gaze at the right side of the hall and clicks his tongue. The prominent families in the pack arrogantly sit there, but what irks him to the core is the fact that Taehyung's parents, brothers together with their mates shamelessly chose to sit with those parasites. Only Yongsun and his mate sit on Taehyung and Jungkook's side. Well they said birds of the same feathers flock together or in this case greedy leeches stick together. Yoongi feels his mate's anger through their bond. He holds his hand and gently squeezes it but that doesn't hinder Jimin from voicing out his distaste.

"My blood is boiling right now. Tae's parents and brothers are scums. Look at them shamelessly sitting on Kihyun's side, the same dickhead who rejected their own son." Jimin snarled in utter disdain.

"You shouldn't be so surprised as you were the one who told me they never treated your best friend like a son." Yoongi reminded him while emitting his pheromones to calm his mate.

"They really suck! It's Tae's special day and this is how they treat him. As Tae's parents, they should be the first ones to spite Kihyun but look at them ready to lick his ass." Jin chimed in, agreeing with the pregnant omega. He also abhors his Uncle Tae-hwa and his wife for mistreating his cousin.

"Honestly, I think Kihyun doesn't deserve Tae. It's a good thing Tae is marrying Jungkook. Jungkook is far better than his arrogant half-brother." Namjoon added, leisurely swirling the wine in his goblet. "If only his wolf isn't dormant, he is more deserving to be the next head alpha than Kihyun."

"I hope the head alpha will realize that Kihyun doesn't deserve his position and choose you, Alpha Namjoon." Hoseok, who was silent a while ago, joined the conversation.

"I have no intention to be the head alpha but for the sake of our pack, I'm willing to accept the position." Namjoon stated and his friends nodded in approval.

Their talk is halted when Yunhee and her parents arrive in the hall. The female omega is donned with a pink modern hanbok intricately embroidered with cherry blossom flowers. Her brunette hair is carefully gathered into a bun by a vintage golden hair clip embedded with pink sapphires and small diamonds. She looks dainty and at the same time regal. The guests shoot her a look of admiration.

Yunhee goes up to the stage and sits on one of the chairs. She darts her gaze at the entrance anticipating Kihyun's arrival.

After a few minutes, Taehyung and Jungkook step inside the hall. The whole venue falls into complete silence as they take in the sight of the gorgeous pair. Both are wearing their respective suits that enhance their unparalleled good looks. Luna is innerly proud of her lover. Jungkook is the most handsome male at the gathering. And if any of the guests don't agree with her, they should suck it up and hold their tongue or she would sever them from their filthy mouths in the most painful way. Taehyung scoffs through their link, scolding his wolf for having such gruesome thoughts during their engagement.
