Snake Wooshik finds himself transported to the forest. Hissing in annoyance, he feels dizzy from magically materializing inside the woods. "Fuck gods and goddesses and their powers! They toss us around as they please. I hope I can make Hoseok fall in love with me so I can break free from the shackle of this curse," he mutters to himself. Sighing, he searches for a tree to rest under for the night.
That night, Taehyung and Jungkook sleep in the same room with Jungkook's arm curling around the omega's waist. Taehyung's head rests comfortably against his chest. The moon shines brightly, watching over the two lovers who hoped to revive the bond they had once lost.
It's the morning of the wedding. Everyone in the pack is busy, especially the helpers in the main pack house where Kihyun and Yunhee's union will be held. Hira and Yunhee's mother are supervising the preparations, from decorations to the food that will be served. Hira spent a great amount of gold coins for her son's wedding.
Junseo, on the other hand, sends some helpers to Taekook's cabin to assist the pair with the preparations. He knows most of the pack members will help with Kihyun's wedding but will never care about Jungkook's. He heaves a sigh as he thinks of his firstborn. Jungkook resents him and he has none to blame but himself. He prioritized his pack at the expense of his older son. He loves Jungkook but he also has the responsibility to ensure that no packs would dare question the strength of Obsidian by training Kihyun as the next head alpha. Lately, however, he has noticed Kihyun's behavior, which has made him think that his younger son may not be suited for the role.
Kihyun is arrogant, selfish and impulsive -traits that a head alpha should not possess, as they would lead Obsidian to its doom. If only Jungkook's wolf wasn't dormant, he would make a good leader. Without his wolf, he wouldn't stand a chance against Kihyun or any wolf in their pack. He's as fragile as a human.

The morning sun’s light filters through the curtains in the bedroom, stirring Taehyung from his sleep. With his eyes closed, he reaches out for Jungkook, only to find the space beside him empty. The faint scent of pine lingers, leading him to believe his fiancé left hours ago. Did Jungkook really leave him on their wedding day? A wave of distress washes over him, causing his hand to tremble as he sits up unsteadily and leans against the headboard. Lost in his emotions, he doesn't realize he's making objects in the room float. The sweet scent of lotus is now replaced by the smell of muddy water.
"I thought the drama here was over. I guess not, seeing things flying around and you smelling of mud," Snake Wooshik says as he coils around a tree branch just outside the window. "Are you getting cold feet? Have you finally realized that you don't want to marry Endymion's vessel? You know you can always go back to Selene instead of risking your heart and feelings. He may not wake up, or worse -he wakes up and chooses Yunhee. What will you do then? He already hurt you once, and you set your kitchen on fire. What will you do if he abandons you? Will you incinerate Obsidian into ashes?"
Taehyung takes deep breaths to ease his nerves as the pieces of furniture fall to the floor with a thud. "You used to be his best friend, Wooshik. Are you doubting him now?"
"You used to be his lover too, but look at yourself. Judging by the way you're acting now, I’d say you’re the one doubting him," Wooshik retorts.
"He is still my lover and always will be. Why are you here, Wooshik? Isn't it too early to piss me off? Do you hate your life that much to anger me?" Taehyung's purple eyes now glaring at the snake.
