Jungkook remembers it as vivid as the summer sky, how Yunhee mocked him for having a dormant wolf, for not being able to feel their bond. She said the only reason she hasn't rejected him yet is because he has no wolf to accept her rejection. Jungkook witnessed Kihyun fucking her in broad daylight like a slut.
Yes, he was hurt, but it wasn't because Yunhee chose Kihyun over him. He was hurt because he was led on by her. He thought Yunhee likes him too, but turns out she's only nice to him because of the jewelry his mother left him. But he still gave her a chance to come clean, that's why he asked her if they are mates. He can't forget the way the omega blatantly lied and told him they aren't.
That was the deciding factor why he gifted her a piece of the cursed 'Black Orlov Diamond', also referred to as the Eye of Brahma Diamond set in a titanium ring. It was said that the diamond was the cause of the death of the two princesses who previously owned the cursed gem. One of them was Princess Nadia Vygin-Orlov; the source of the black diamond's name who leaped to her death from a building in central Rome, in what was believed to have been suicide. Sometimes Jungkook can't help but think that the black diamond was also the reason why his mother didn't survive childbirth, though it could also be due to the fact that alphas aren't really cut out for birthing pups.
Yunhee deserves the curse that goes with it. He wasn't expecting her to accept him as her mate, all he asked of her is-honesty turns out she isn't only greedy but also a pathological liar.
Jungkook quickens his pace as he leaves Yunhee in the cabin. The audacity of that girl to think that after lying to him and whoring herself with Kihyun, he would still want her. He's now uncovering Yunhee's true color. He realizes that his Hoseok hyung is right; indeed, Yunhee is a pretentious bitch. He reaches a decision-a decision which will inhibit Yunhee from approaching him again and prove to her that he could have someone too, someone who will accept his flaw.
He barges inside his father's office and tells him that he'll marry Taehyung. His father is surprised at the sudden change in his decision. "Okay, I'll tell Hira to talk to Taehyung's parents first thing in the morning, but what made you change your mind?"
"I'm giving myself a chance to a family I never had." Jungkook promptly replied.
"Jungkook, you always have a family, we're family-your Aunt Hira, Kihyun and I-"
A bitter chuckle from Jungkook hinders his father from continuing his sentence. "I was never included in your family. I'm your son in name only. Don't make me feel better with empty talks and lies. You were never there for me."
His father feels a pang in his chest at Jungkook's accusation, but he knows he is right. He has been so caught up with pack matters and training Kihyun that he unintentionally neglected Jungkook. "I'm sorry, son."
"It's too late for your apologies, they're useless now." Jungkook turned on his heels and was about to leave when Junseo reached for his arm. "Wait! I have something for you. This is my and your mother's gift for your wedding." Junseo holds a beautiful red velvet antique jewelry box that is adorned with precious stones and gilded with gold in front of him.
