"Do you think there's a town in Missouri or someplace called Sample?" Chandler asked the gang minus Monica as they sat in their usual spot at Central Perk. "And as you're driving into town there's like a sign and it says 'You're in Sample'?"

"Oh my God, Chandler," Quinn shook her head in disappointment while Joey, who was resting his arm over her legs since she was sitting on the armrest of the couch next to him, nodded his head and smiled for catching on the wordplay.

"Hey," Monica finally joined them, coming to a stop in between the couch and the green armchair where Ross sat.

"Hey, how did it go with Pete?" Rachel didn't waste a second to ask.

"Yes, tell us!" Ross added.

While over at Pete's apartment, they had found that he had some news to share with Monica and that he had spent a large amount of money on a ring. It didn't take long for everyone to jump to the conclusion that he was going to propose and Rachel was over the moon that her best friend was going to marry a millionaire.

"You're not gonna believe this, okay? So I go over there–" Monica started telling but was interrupted by two strangers.

"I'm sorry, excuse us."

"Excuse us, please."

"Uh, it's a little crowded, do you mind if we sit?" The one with the tan blazer asked.

"Yeah, could you scooch?"

"Oh, sure."

"Of course."

Everyone moved over to give the two some space on the couch, Quinn stood up for Joey to take her seat on the armrest then he pulled her towards him and made her sit on his lap. Phoebe, Chandler and Rachel were in a pretty tight fit, sharing the couch with the new pair, while Monica settled on the armrest of the green armchair.

"So guys, listen," Monica started retelling what happened with Pete. "I'm over there, and I'm–"

But she gets interrupted again by the strangers.

"Why? What is wrong with me?" The one with the accent cried out.

"What's the matter?" His tan blazer wearing friend asked him.

"Tim, I- I have a feeling. I, my wife is sleeping with her gynaecologist."

Quinn's eyes widened in surprise and suddenly she couldn't stop herself from eavesdropping (not that she could ignore their conversation anyway, they were pretty loud). It seemed like her friends had the same thought as her as they all started paying attention to what the two were saying.

"How do you know?"

"Well, you know, he's got access."

"Yeah, I know," Tim, tan blazer guy, nodded his head.

"You know, you just feel and you get, you know?"

"Like when you go bowling and you know you're in somebody else's shoes?"

"That's the one."

"Hmm."

"So- so you went to Pete's and..." Phoebe tried to divert the friend group's attention away from the strangers' conversation but Quinn was locked in and nothing could drag her away from it. She's too nosy for her own good.

"What happened?" Ross asked.

"I had..."

"Why is this happening to me?!" The man with the accent loudly said. "I don't know, maybe it's my wound."

"Forget it," Monica told them and they all turned towards the end of the couch where the two strangers were talking.

"Your wound? It's- it's not healed yet?"
