The girls were having breakfast together in Rachel and Monica's apartment when Chandler and Joey walked in, well dressed.
"Hey!" The boys said their friends who greeted them back.
"Oh! Look at you fancy lads," Phoebe remarked. "What's the occasion?"
"Well you know the guy on my show that's in a coma? He's having a brunch," Joey replied as he waited for Phoebe to fill his mug with coffee.
"Okay, I'm ready when you are," Rachel came out of her room.
"Okey-doke," Phoebe answered, putting down the coffee pot and getting ready to leave.
"Just let me finish my tea," Quinn held up her index finger indicating her friends to wait as she gulped down her drink.
"I can't believe you guys are actually getting tattoos," Monica said.
"Excuse me, you guys are getting tattoos?" Chandler asked in disbelief.
"Yes, but you cannot tell Ross 'cause I want to surprise him," Rachel warned the boys.
"Wow!" Joey chuckled. "This is wild, what are you going to get?"
"I'm getting a lily," Phoebe answered. "For my mom, 'cause her name's Lily."
"Wow, that's lucky. What if her name was Big Ugly Splotch?" Chandler joked, Quinn kicking him under the table for his comment.
"I think that's very sweet and meaningful," Quinn said as she got up to wash her mug in the sink.
"So where you getting it?" Joey continued questioning the blonde.
"I think on my shoulder," Phoebe pointed to her right shoulder.
Ross showed up then, joining the conversation. "What? What's on your shoulder?"
Phoebe glared at her friends in panic, not knowing what to answer. "Um, a chip."
Quinn cringed at the lie while Ross stopped in mid movement of removing his coat, not believing her.
"A tattoo, I'm getting a tattoo," Phoebe revealed.
"A tattoo? Why? Why would you want to do that?" Ross asked while walking to the kitchen to greet his girlfriend.
"Because they're cool," Quinn said in a 'duh' tone.
"Yeah, you don't think they're kind of cool?" Rachel agreed with her redheaded friend before directing the question to her boyfriend.
"No, sorry I don't. I mean, why would anyone pay someone to scar their body for life?" Ross argued. "And what if it doesn't come out right Pheebs? Then it's like having a bad haircut all the time."
"Party pooper," Quinn mumbled to herself, crossing her arms over her chest. "Well I don't care," she said louder, meaning for Ross to hear her, "I'm still getting one and it's certainly not a palaeontologist's opinion about tattoos that's gonna change my mind."
"Quinn you're also getting a tattoo?" Ross asked in disbelief, the redhead nodded her head in response. "That's... that's cool," he gulped, not having the energy to argue with her.
"Ross, come sign this birthday card for Dad," Monica motioned him over with her hand. "Richard's going to be here any minute."
"Oh! Can I also sign it?" Quinn asked, earning a glare from Monica and Ross. "What? I like your Dad, he's really nice to me and he helps me with stuff I used to call my Dad to come fix when I was living in Montreal."
"Alright, sure," Monica yielded, making Quinn smile and jump in place.
"So..." Chandler rubbed his hands. "Richard's going to the party too, huh?"
