Quinn Sullivan was starting to regret putting a lease on an apartment that she needed to climb so many stairs to get access to. Thankfully for her, her older brother had accepted to drive to New York all the way from Montreal to help her move her stuff to the Big Apple, meaning she didn't have to carry the heavy boxes up the flights of stairs. Struggling to hold her luggage and sports bags full of clothes in her arms, she almost tripped over a cardboard box that laid in the middle of the hallway.

"Whoa-ho!" An unfamiliar masculine voice exclaimed in surprise as she felt a pair of arms steady her in place.

"Sorry," she huffed, trying to blow away the single strand of curly red hair that stood in her field of vision after it fell out of her bun. "I was so focused on climbing all of those damned stairs without dropping one of my bags, I didn't see there was stuff in the hallway."

The man who stood in front of her flashed her a charming smile and moved the strand of hair that was obviously annoying the girl behind her ear. "S'alright, it's my fault for leaving my boxes in the way. Do you need help with your bags?"

"Oh no, no!" Quinn immediately refused. "You already have your stuff to deal with and my apartment is one door down, I'll be fine. But thank you..." she trailed off, waiting for the man to introduce himself.

"Joey, Joey Tribbiani," he answered, his charming smile never leaving his face.

"Thanks for the offer Joey, it's very kind of you," she thanked him. She could feel the butterflies coming to life in her stomach the longer she stood in front of the man and she never had been more thankful that her face turns beet red after the tiniest of physical efforts as it could hide the blush she was sure she would be sporting by now. "I'm Quinn by the way, Quinn Sullivan. Normally I'd shake your hand but..." she trailed off once again, this time motioning with her head the bags and luggage she was holding.

"Pretty name for a pretty girl," when Joey realised he had voiced his thought out loud he quickly lifted one of his boxes to busy himself.

"Are you moving in or out?" Quinn tried to steer the conversation away from the awkwardness that the flirt had left in the air.

"I'm moving in," Joey answered, attempting to hide his struggle with the heavy box but the smile that appeared on the pretty girl's face didn't help him at all.

"What are the odds! We're both moving in on the same day and we're neighbours," Quinn remarked. "I'll let you finish moving your stuff in your new apartment then, I've got to make sure my brother didn't break any of my stuff while I left him unsupervised," she joked as she made a movement of her head in the direction of her apartment. "I'll see you around Joey!"

Joey watched the redhead walk towards the door that stood a dozen feet to the right of the door of his neighbours across the hall, praying to God he would get the chance to get closer to the girl. "Yeah, I'll see you around Quinn!"

Later that evening, as Quinn and her brother Rory laid on the emerald green couch to rest their sore muscles after the tiring day they had, a knock on the door cut through the silence that had comfortably settled over the apartment. Quinn let out a groan as she got up and made her way to answer the door but her expression quickly changed when she saw who was on the other side.

"Hey Joey," she smiled. "I don't know you," she pointed out to the other guy that stood next to Joey and decided to introduce herself, he was probably his roommate. "I'm Quinn," she extended her hand.

It took a moment for the guy to realise she had spoken and upon seeing her hand, he grabbed it and gently shook it. "Hi I'm Chandler, Joey's roommate."

"Quinn! Who is it?" Rory yelled from where he still laid on the couch, causing the redheaded girl to direct her attention away from the boys.
