"Everybody? Shh, shh. Uh, Central Perk is proud to present the music of Miss Phoebe Buffay!" Rachel introduced her friend to the small crowd of people at the café.
The group of friends, minus Chandler but plus Colin, cheered louder for the blonde girl than the others.
"Thanks!" Phoebe thanked them before starting her set. "Hi, um, I want to start with a song that's about that moment when you suddenly realize what life is really all about. Okay, here we go."
But she only got to strum one chord on her guitar before the lights everywhere gave out, plunging the city in complete darkness.
The gang decided to go wait for the electricity to come back at Monica and Rachel's apartment, they'd rather spend a blackout with friends than alone.
"I'll go fetch some candles from my place," Quinn informed her friends when they got out all of Monica's. "Colin, Joey, come help me," she ordered before opening the door to the hallway.
When she walked in her apartment, Quinn immediately went to the drawer in her kitchen full of little things she might need in case of emergency like a pocket knife, matches or, what she was looking for, a small battery powered torch light. Once she got hold of the object, she turned it on, directing the light first to Colin and then Joey's faces, getting a giggle out of blinding them.
"This will make our task easier," she said with a smile.
And less scary, she thought to herself. Quinn wasn't afraid of the dark per say but it made her uneasy.
"You only have one light though," Joey pointed out.
"Yes but it still will be easier to find my candles than with no light, don't you think?" She countered.
"I guess you're right," Joey mumbled, rubbing the back of his head.
Quinn laughed, patted him on the cheek affectionately and handed him a candle she had lit while they were talking. "There's still a few more candles in that cupboard, can you grab them while I go check on Colin?" She asked him.
Joey nodded his head and Quinn thanked him before going to her room where Colin had gone to grab the candles he knew she had there.
"Hey pet, you alright?" she asked as she walked in her bedroom, flashlight pointing to her boyfriend crouched down next to the cupboard where she keeps her bedroom candles.
Colin turned towards her, arms full of candles. "Just need a little help love."
Quinn giggled at the sight and picked up a few candles from him to alleviate his load then a few more on the shelf before the couple exited the room.
Joey had already gone back to Monica and Rachel's, judging by the emptiness of the apartment, so Quinn took the time to lock her front door before joining her friends.
At the same time, Joey was walking out of his apartment with a menorah in hand, causing Quinn and Colin to share a funny look before following him.
"And officiating at tonight's blackout is Rabbi Tribbiani," Ross joked when he saw his friend.
Joey put down the menorah next to the television before facing his friends. "Well, Chandler's old roommate was Jewish and these are the only candles we have so... Happy Hanukkah, everyone!"
"Thank God Quinn collects as much candles as I do," Monica commented, helping the redhead and her boyfriend with the candles they were struggling to put down.
"Ewww look," Phoebe said from the big window, garnering everyone's attention. "Ugly Naked Guy lit a bunch of candles."
The six of them gathered around her as they observed the man. "Oh!" They all gasped when he burned himself.
