As my phone rang, I saw that it was aunt Kiara calling.

I picked up the call and greeted her with a cheerful "Hello?"

Meanwhile, Adhrit, who was sitting next to me, continued munching on his veggies.
Aunt Kiara reminded me that I could visit the temple today.

Uncertain about Adhrit's availability, I replied, "Today? I'm not sure if Adhrit has any free time." I glanced at Adhrit, who paused midway through his bites.

Aunt Kiara, with a hint of amusement in her voice, insisted, "Even if he's busy, just drag him along. Missing a day of office work won't stop the world from spinning."

I could sense her smiling through the phone as she added, "I trust you can convince him, so it's up to you, alright?"

I happily replied, "Yes, aunt."

She affectionately said, "That's my sweetheart. Goodbye," and ended the call.

When I turned to look at Adhrit, he had finished his bowl of soup in one gulp.

I inquired, "Is it that good?"

He flinched slightly, placing the bowl down and carrying it to the kitchen without making eye contact.
Did I embarrass him? Curiosity got the better of me, so I followed him and observed as he cleaned the dish.

"Aunt called and mentioned that we should visit the temple she was talking about a few days ago," I informed him, still gazing at his back.

"I did mention that you might be busy, but don't worry, I can tell her you were occupied if you don't want to go." He looked just as attractive from behind as he did from the front.

"We can go," he replied, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

"Really?" I asked, to which he nodded and turned to face me.

"That's unexpected, but thank you," I said with a smile. He stared at me for a moment before averting his gaze. What's going on with him?

"In that case, freshen up. We need to leave soon," I instructed, turning away but not before adding, "I have more of the hangover soup. If you want, you can have it later." With that, I turned around and headed out.

After a long hiatus, I decided to don a saree once again.

It had been ages since I last wore one, and I vividly remember the struggle I faced in school when I had to wear it without any assistance.

That fateful day turned out to be a turning point as I taught myself how to wear it, sparing me from relying on maids for help.
Little did I know that my newfound skill would come in handy today.

I chose to wear a stunning cream-coloured silk designer saree.
As I carefully draped the fabric, I couldn't help but marvel at how elegantly it fell, making me look impeccably neat.
Instead of agonizing over the pleats, I effortlessly brought the ensemble together.

Descending the stairs, I caught a glimpse of Adhrit already waiting in the hallway, engrossed in his phone.

As if sensing my arrival, he lifted his gaze from the screen and fixed his eyes on me.
His intense staring almost made me blush; it was as if he was committing a crime by gawking at me.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and pride.

Granted, I wasn't accustomed to dressing traditionally, but I had made sure to double-check my appearance, and I didn't think I looked half bad.

Approaching him, I couldn't help but notice how tall he was.
I cleared my throat, feeling slightly self-conscious.
He, too, coughed softly and then spoke.
