I woke up bright and early this morning quickly changed into my professional attire and then heard a knock at the door.

It had to be Adhrit.

"Um, hi... What's... uh... happening?" I stumbled over my words, feeling a bit caught off guard.

Adhrit cleared his throat and explained, "I'm heading out. Let's keep up the charade of not knowing each other like we always do in public settings." I nodded even though he couldn't see me.

"Well then, I'm off," he declared.

I finished getting ready and left for the day as well.

Why does he always leave for the office so early?
His coworkers will never be able to arrive on time if he sets the standard so high.

As I stepped into the office building, I couldn't help but be amazed by its sheer size.

It stretched out in both length and breadth, making it an impressive sight.

Inside, the hustle and bustle of people walking up and down with files in their hands filled the air.
I made my way to the receptionist and introduced myself as the new intern for Singhania Groups and Companies Ltd.

The receptionist looked up from her work and greeted me with a warm smile.

"Ah, you must be Sana Arora," she said, confirming my identity. "Please wait for the other recruit, and then both of you can proceed to the 9th floor. Miss Bhatt will be your guide."

I took a moment to observe the surroundings while waiting for the other intern to arrive.

The interior of the building was pristine, with white walls and a marble floor, creating a typical working environment.
Just as I was lost in my thoughts, a voice broke the silence.

"Hello! I'm Yash Merriam, the new intern," a handsome young man introduced himself to the receptionist.

I couldn't help but notice his charm, a rarity in my experience.
Even the receptionist seemed to blush as she repeated the same instructions she had given me earlier.

Yash was directed to wait with me until the last recruit arrived.
He approached me with a friendly smile and took a seat beside me.

"I think you were on time," he remarked, breaking the ice. I nodded in agreement and introduced myself.

As we waited for the final intern to join us, Yash expressed his curiosity about their whereabouts.
I shrugged my shoulders, unsure of when they would arrive.
The minutes ticked by, but we remained engaged in conversation, getting to know each other better.

"The receptionist informed us that we could proceed since the other intern was running late," I recounted as Yash and I stepped into the elevator.

Just as the doors were about to close, Yash held them open and Lina appeared before us, her face causing a mix of surprise and exasperation.

"You could have waited for me!" Lina scolded, joining us in the elevator.
Yash and I exchanged glances, amused by the situation.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Lina turned to me and asked, "So, why are you here?"

"I'm here for an internship," I replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

Lina smirked, seemingly onto something. "I know your ulterior motive. It's for Adhrit Ray Singhania, isn't it?"

I couldn't help but laugh. Lina truly had a vivid imagination.

Little did she know that my true purpose here was for Gina.
That indirectly leads to Adhrit itself.
But who cares...
