A day or two later, under the cover of midnight, Haewon jogged through the deserted streets, her breath misting in the cool night air. The hood of her large hoodie was pulled up, obscuring her face from any passersby. She kept her pace steady, each footfall echoing softly against the pavement as she worked to regain her strength. The city was asleep, its usual hustle and bustle replaced by an eerie silence.

Haewon's muscles warmed up quickly, her body remembering the rigorous training sessions from not so long ago. She started with a slow jog, her eyes scanning the darkened streets for any sign of movement. Gradually, she increased her speed, pushing herself to go faster with each lap. Her breathing remained even, despite the increasing pace.

With every lap, she felt her speed increasing, her vampiric abilities slowly returning. Her legs moved effortlessly, her feet barely touching the ground as she sped up. She could feel her senses sharpening, her hearing picking up the faintest sounds, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. By the time she reached her last lap, she was moving with inhuman speed, blurring past the empty buildings and abandoned storefronts.

She passed by a few late-night stragglers who didn't notice the figure speeding by them, her movements too fast for their eyes to catch. Haewon felt the wind rushing past her face, the cool air invigorating her as she pushed her limits. Each stride was powerful and controlled, her body moving with a grace that belied her strength.

Finally, she came to a halt, her breath steady despite the exertion. She stood still for a moment, letting the adrenaline course through her veins. Her hood slipped back slightly, revealing a glimpse of her determined eyes. She looked around, scanning the area for any sign of danger.

Sunoo stood waiting for her, leaning casually against a lamppost under the dim streetlights. He watched her approach, his expression a mix of concern and admiration.

"Did you get it?" she asked, pulling back her hood slightly.

Sunoo nodded and held out a set of keys. "Studio gym, empty and all yours."

Haewon took the keys, her fingers brushing against Sunoo's for a brief moment. "Thanks, Sunoo."

"I dropped off your bags," he added, watching her closely. "Are you sure you really don't need Sunghoon?"

Haewon's eyes hardened. "I'd rather get consumed than let him get consumed."

Sunoo sighed and patted her arm. "Good luck with the training. Be careful."

She gave him a tight smile, grateful for his support, and then made her way to the gym. The building was old but sturdy, a perfect place to hide and train. She unlocked the door and stepped inside, the dim streetlights casting long shadows on the walls.
