Two years and nine months ago Kara Zor-El Danvers gave birth to a blonde haired blue eyed daughter she named Megan. Today that child is now two years old. It was also the anniversary of the day Kara disappeared from National City still holding onto this secret. Today the mother and daughter duo reside two miles outside a sea town in Greece. Here no one knows who Kara is or was. To the people in the town she's just Kara Danvers, photographer, and mom to Megan. That's where this part of the story begins.
"Good morning my sweet angel! How are you this morning?" Kara cooed as she walks in to the bedroom to see her daughter standing in the door way holding her stuffed puppy in her arms. "Hungy mommy." Megan replies with a smile. "Well, let's go make some breakfast...hmm does that sound good?" Kara asks as she scoops her daughter up into her arms and carry's her to the kitchen. "Mommy?" Megan says as Kara puts her in her high chair. "Yes love?" Kara replies. "Auntie come day?" Megan asked. "No not today. Auntie Alex is busy in National City still. We'll see her again soon though." Kara replied. "O tay!" Megan said.
Kara set about cutting up some fresh fruit and putting them into a bowl for Megan before making herself a large burrito. "Here you are love, eat up so you can grow big and strong like mommy." Kara cooed as she sat the plastic bowl down on her daughter's high chair. Kara took her seat at the table and stared out the window at the ocean. The waves were crashing on the large rocks. The sound calmed her but it also made her miss National City too. She'd never admit it to anyone but the day she left she instantly regretted it. However Lena gave her no choice but to leave. She wiped away a stray tear that had fallen from her eye before continuing her breakfast.
Today was mail day for the tiny town, which meant after getting ready Kara and Megan would make the two mile walk into town to get their mail if they had any. Even if they didn't Kara always found something to bring home with them, usually she'd sell her photographs for money so she could buy everything they needed. The sales were mostly online sales to private collectors but it didn't bother Kara. She never signed her name to them just put a simple KD on them as her signature. Even her website didn't have any pictures of herself on it. It was just a simple website with her pictures, both color and black and white ones for sale.
"Momma we go town?" Megan asked. "Yes sweetheart after we get washed up and dressed." Kara replied with a smile as they walked into the bathroom. Kara quickly took a shower after washing Megan up and got dressed herself. "Are you ready my darling?" Kara asked. "Yep!" Megan squealed. After locking the door Kara put Megan up on her shoulders and began her walk to town. "Momma ook!" Megan exclaimed as she pointed at the birds diving into the sea. "I see them! They're pretty huh." Kara replied. "Yep ike youuu momma!" Megan replied.
A little while later they arrived in town. "Hello Kara! Megan!" An older woman called out with a smile and a wave. "Good morning Mrs. Jean!" Kara called back. Megan waved at the older woman as they passed by. "Let's go check the mail sweetheart then we'll go do some shopping." Kara stated. "O tay mommy!" Megan replied. The post office was small which made it easy to find Kara's box. "Ah Kara! Megan! How are my two favorite people doing today?" The old man behind the counter asked. "We're quite well, how are you Mr. Mason?" Kara asked. "Im well. You have quite a lot of mail today. I hope you brought a bag to tote it all home in." Mr. Mason replied.
Kara opened her box only to have most of the contents fall to the floor. "You gotta get down for a moment Megan." Kara said as she put her down on the floor. "Momma? Wat dis?" Megan asked as she held up a white envelope with an invitation in it. "It's an invitation to something back in National City." Kara replied. "We go?" Megan asked. "I'm not sure love, I'll have to look at it." Kara replied as she bagged up the rest of her mail slinging the bag on her shoulder before picking up Megan once again.
After leaving the post office they headed to the market to get some much needed groceries. "Momma peeese?" Megan asked as she pointed to a bag of lollipops. "Put them in the basket, come on let's go get the rest of our groceries." Kara replied. A little while later they were cashed out and heading back home. Their food put into Kara's cooler sack that Eliza had brought her on one of her many visits.
