The weekend came and with it Kara's trip to National City to look at houses. "Is Lena going with you?" Eliza asked. "I don't know..she probably will..I haven't asked her about it though." Kara replied. "Well I think she would like to go." Eliza replied. "Ok..she can come with us...we rented a car already so...I'll go get Megan ready and tell Lena to pack some clothes." Kara says as she leaves the kitchen. Lena's just getting out of the shower when Kara enters the room they're staying in. "Kara! Everything ok?" Lena asks as she tightens the grip on her towel. "I'm going to National City to look at houses. Would you like to come too?" Kara asked. "Of course! We...we can stay at my place...if you want..." Lena suggested. "Uh...I'll think about it...I've got to get Megan ready." Kara said.
"She's already ready, I go her ready while you were in the shower." Lena admitted. "Oh..thanks..." Kara replied. She quickly turned and left the room to pack Megan's things. Once Lena was dressed she walked into the other room to find Kara packing a single bag of clothes for her daughter. "Only one bag?" Lena asked. "Yes..why?" Kara asked. "Well...uh...I was thinking you and Megan could just stay at my place...till you found a house." Lena replied. Kara looked at the dark haired woman before answering.
"Uh...I suppose we can..." Kara replied. "Excellent! I mean...good...I'll have my house keeper run out and get some things for Megan." Lena replied. "That's not necessary Lee..." Kara replied. "I know it's not Kara..but let me do this one thing...please." Lena said. "Ok...we'll stay with you for now...and you can get whatever you think Megan needs..." Kara replied. "So does that mean she can decorate her own room however she wants to?" Lena asked. Kara rolls here eyes but nods as she continues packing Megan's things. "Wonderful! I'll go pack up our stuff and we can leave as soon as you're done." Lena says with a smile.
Kara finishes up packing Megan's stuff and goes to check on Lena who's still packing her things. "Here, I'll help you." Kara said. "So what does Megan eat everyday?" Lena asked. "A variety of things. I'm planning on buying grocery's though...so you can come with me..." Kara replied. Lena smiled at the blonde. "I look forward to it." Lena replied. "You look forward to grocery shopping with a toddler? Sweetheart...you're in for a real treat." Kara said with a smirk.
"Oh...I'm regret those words huh..." Lena replied. "Don't worry I have plenty of headache medicine in my bag." Kara replied as she continued packing. A few minutes later everything was packed and in the rental car's trunk. "Ok! Everything is in the car. Megan...do you need to potty before we go to Lena's?" Kara asked. Megan looked at her mommy before nodding her head. "Ok! Let's go potty and quickly put a new sticker in your book." Kara replied. "O tay mommy!" Megan replied.
Lena stayed by the car looking at her feet unsure of what to do with herself now. Eliza was inside waiting for Kara and Megan to come back downstairs. "Ok are you ready bug?" Kara asked. "Yesh mommy!" Megan replied with a smile. "Ohhhh I'm gonna miss you two so much!" Eliza cooed as she follows them outside. "You can come visit any time mom...you know that..." Kara said with a smile. "I know darling...and I will. Come here give me a hug Megan!" Eliza cooed. Megan jumped into Eliza's arms hugging her tight. "You be good for your mommy and your momma ok...I love you." Eliza said. "I wuv yu too gammy!" Megan replied. "Come on bug! Let's get you settled into the car." Kara says as she picks her up and walks over towards the backseat.
Eliza now pulls Lena into a tight hug. "Take care of them...and yourself..." Eliza whispered. "I will...I promise." Lena replied as they pulled apart. "Ok! Megan's all set, are you all ready?" Kara asked. "Yep!" Lena replied. "Call me when you get there!" Eliza says. "I will!" Kara replied as she got into the passenger seat.
Lena pulls the car out of the driveway and heads through town. "She's awfully quiet." Lena says. "She's got her headphones on. She's listening to an audio book. Alice In Wonderland...it's one of her favorites." Kara said. "Hmm...I have a copy of that in my library." Lena replied. "Really? Don't tell her that she'll have you reading it to her every night." Kara replied. "That's ok...I don't mind." Lena replied. Kara reached out and took the dark haired woman's hand in her own and squeezed it gently. "You really are something else..." Kara hummed. Before they hit the highway Megan was asleep in the backseat snoring softly. "She's sound asleep...thank Rao!" Kara whispered.
